I use Neutrogena (the clear orange one) or the bargain brand of the same type for a cleanser. For moisturizer, I use Jergen's Natural Glow for the face.

I can't use cream cleansers because I feel like it doesn't get super clean. I also use St. Ive's Apicrot scrub a couple of times a week. I usually use some sort of a toner afterwards, then apply the moisturizer.

I also do the Beauticontrol's microdermabrasion thing about once every few weeks. If I'm doing that, I wash, tone, then do it, then moisturize.

For my moisturizer, I just started using this a few months ago and even took a break from it for a few weeks but quickly went back! I couldn't believe that it actually made a difference in my skin color. Just barely a hint of color. I'm redheaded with fair skin and freckles so I got the lightest one that you can get. It says "2 shades darker" or something. I love it.. it makes me feel better about leaving the house without foundation. The only thing that sucks is that it is kinda expensive, for me.. I mean it's eight or nine bucks for a small tube that lasts about sixweeks. I realize that's cheap to some, but not to me! lol  BEFORE this, I was using various anti aging moisturizers or moisturizers with alpha hydroxy or whatever. While I think it was improving my skin, I also think it was a little cloggy for my pores (and I only wear mineral make up so I know that it can't be that causing them to clog). So now I just sorta do it every once in a while or just around my eyes and not on my T zone.

I'm pretty sensitive to fragrance, but these are all fragrance free or lightly scented.

BTW, I'm 28 if that matters.

I know this post was TMI but I guess I got carried away, lol :P
Disclaimer: Please excuse the above comment. I'm probably freaking out because there is less than one month to go. Thank you.

    1. what cleanser and moisturizer do you use?  Proactiv / Aveeno
    2. what do you like about it? not like?  I think my skin is used to Proactiv so I break out still.  I wish I had blemish free skin all the time.  Wish I knew what else to try that wasn't too expensive.  Aveeno I love.
    3. it is fragrance free?  Yes

    Good luck.

    i'm looking to change mine....

    1. what cleanser and moisturizer do you use? I have just recently started using a cleanser/serum/moisturizer set called No Zit Sherlock from Bliss. I got it at Sephora.
    2. what do you like about it? not like? My skin has always been a little oily/acne prone but lately it has been really bad. I've been getting those huge under the skin pimples and my pores have been bad. But since I've been using this new stuff, I haven't gotten any of the big pimples and just a few small ones. And my pores look a lot better. It is pretty intense, so if you have any dryness normally, I wouldn't use it, or just use it every other day.
    3. it is fragrance free? No, it actually smells kind of medicinal. But it's not incredibly strong, and at least for me, I don't care as long as it works.

I'm a bit of a skin care junkie...

    1. what cleanser and moisturizer do you use?  I use Philosophy 'Purity Made Simple' Cleanser and 'Hope in a Jar' Moisturizer.

I also really like and have used the Clinique 3 Step Cleanser and the Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer.

    2. what do you like about it? not like?

Philosophy- the cleanser doesn't smell very good (its unscented, but still).   The Moisturizer is the BEST I've ever had.   So light and smooth.

Clinique- Good every day stuff.  More affordable than Philosophy.

    3. it is fragrance free?
    Yes, both.

    1. what cleanser and moisturizer do you use? (I have dry skin).
    Mary Kay Timewise age-fighting cleanser
Day:  Timewise age-fighting moisturizer with SPF 15
Night:  Mary Kay intense moisture cream

    2. what do you like about it? not like?
I like that the cleanser exfoliates.
I like that the daytime moisturizer has SPF yet is still great under makeup.
The nighttime moisturizer feels great and provides a lot of moisture without feeling heavy or greasy.

    What I don't like:
I don't think MK products contain enough true anti-aging ingredients which is why I am looking to change.

    3. it is fragrance free?
    I think so.

NOTE: I have extremely sensitive and dry skin.

    1. what cleanser and moisturizer do you use? cedaphil gentle cleanser & Neutrogena Healthy Defense Moisturizer

    2. what do you like about it? not like?
Cedaphil is extremely light.  I feel like I get all of my makeup off, but it doesn't dry my skin out.  It is also gentle enough to use on my eyes so I can remove mascara/shadow.
Neutrogena - great, light, lots of spf
    3. it is fragrance free? <shrug /> I've never noticed an odor or fragrance, so I guess so....

I never stick to one product so I will just summarize a few that I've liked and not liked so far...

Right now for cleansers I use the Dermalogica line on recommendation from my facialist.  I like it so far, I have oily skin prone to breakout (yes even at 27), so the anti-acne line seems to be working well without drying out my skin (it's not targeted towards teenage acne, but the adult kind).  For day time moisturizer, I'm actually using a cheap Garnier Nutrisse day cream that is anti-aging and has SPF 25, it's not so bad.  For night time, I use an anti-aging night cream from Lancome and also their eye cream.  For times when I need extra help with breakouts, Murad makes a great mask.

I have used Proactiv in the past, I still use their toner sometimes but I found that once my skin got acclimated to it, the line wasn't really working (and the cleanser was really harsh on my skin).

I like the Clinique toner of the 3 steps, but I did not like using the facial soap because I think the brush can get dirty with time (paranoid), and I didn't like the way the moisturizer felt (too greasy).

I have used Philosophy products in the past and really liked everything I tried.  In fact, I'm not sure why I'm not buying this more often (probably because of the price).

Ditto Tiffany on the Philosophy cleanser and moisturizer.  Love them both (biggest complaint is the same thing Tiffany said about the cleanser smell - it's not bad, it's just a little odd).

I typically use Clean & Clear to wash my face.  It's the morning burst one that comes in either green or orange and it does really help to wake me up in the morning.  The moisturizer I use is Dove with the SPF in it.  I really like both of these.  The cleanser has a scent to it.

    1.  I use Purpose Brand products.  My dermatologist recommended it to me and I have used it ever since.
    2.  There's so much I love about it---It's so light, it doesn't leave a film on my skin.  Is a great make-up remover.  Plus...its gentle as water.  Provides excellent 24 hr moisture and has SPF!
    3.  Fragrance free

I've used expensive products, but the last time I had a facial the girl recommended Clean and Clear. I don't have a ton of acne, but my skin is more on the oily side (combo in winter). If your skin is very dry, I probably wouldn't use either of these...

    1. I use clean and clear oil free cleanser. Just the normal foaming facial cleanser.
    2. I swear by clean and clear dual action moisturizer. I slather it on my combination skin in the winter, but I have oily skin in the summer, so I don't really use it except sometimes at night.
    3. I have no idea, sorry...

To take my make up off, I use Clinique's Foaming Face Wash.  It's in a pink tube.  I like it because it's gentle but it also takes off my mascara.  I use either Dramatically Different or Super Defense Moisturizer both by Clinique.  I like them both because I can even spread it a little on my eyelids and it doesn't burn my eyes or feel too heavy.  The Super Defense stuff has sunscreen in it but the Dramatically Different does not.  About two to three times a week, I use a Neutrogena exfoliator.  It's blue and I think it's Deep Clean.  There's a little mint in it.  I think most Clinique products are fragrant free and the Deep Clean just smells like mint a little.

I've tried using other make up removers but they dry my skin out so much.  The Clinique stuff that I use is good for you if you have dry to combination skin.  If you're oily, it should still work okay for you.  I have gone back and forth on dry to oily and I've never really stopped using it.  It's about $20 and the same for Dramatically Different.  The Clinique ladies always say that the #1 ingredient in DD is water and that's what your skin needs most.  Just passin' on what "they" say.  :-)

Bridget why are you looking to change, I'm curious.

I know MK gets a bad wrap but I have to say I love their skincare products.  While I really want a stronger anti-aging skincare system, I am so hesitant to change--if it's not broke, don't fix it, right?

The dermatologist told me to use Purpose or the Cetaphil stuff and I really liked the Purpose.  I never moisturized because I felt I was oily but the Clinique person told me my skin was dry last year so I tried their stuff.  Now I'm using something with an 'E' and a Clinique lotion, which I am almost out of.

I currently use Aveeno exfoliating cleanser, but not every day. Ponds to take off makeup, Neutrogena something or another SPF 25 as a daily moisturizer and Oil of Olay firming cream at night. I also have the Mary Kay cream-based wash for dry skin but i don't like it and it feels greasy.

I don't care for the Aveeno cleanser and may go back to Neutrogena. I would like to use a foaming face wash instead, I feel like the exfoliating ones are too harsh and dry out my already dry skin. :( I have always used Neutrogena daily moisturizer, so I guess I like it, and I love the Oil of Olay night cream, it's very light and a little goes a long way, which justifies the high price.

Everything is fragrance free, although I think the Neutrogena moisturizer smells like bananas :-D

steph - i LOVE the mary kay products and most likely won't switch. i think the extra problems might be from the origins i've been using as well. i think i'm going to just stick to the mary kay again and see what happens... if not i might try something else for awhile. my breakouts are getting worse.... yes, i'm about to get married and it is summer, so that could be part of it. on another note, i love mary kay makeup remover and acne cream and will probably never change those!!!!

I started getting a lot of breakouts in my mid-30's.  I see alot of girls complain about this on the Beauty Board and wonder if it is somethng hormonal.  I finally broke down and got a glycolic peel and that fixed it.  I get them now every 6 months or so and do microdermabrasion at home and haven't had any problems since.
