Even though I'm a newb here, I can tell you all have some tight knit (knot?) relationships with each other.  I thought we could introduce ourselves & if you want say what part of C-bus you're from.

I'm Ann, for all intensive purposes on TK but I don't like using my real first name on message boards.  If you add me on FB, you can see my real first name. (That just made me seem super weird, sorry.)

I'm 23.

    Hi there! Welcome to TK and the Cbus board.

    I'm Melissa. I have met Peach and Miss Owl from this board. My H and I have been married almost a year and a half. No kids yet. I still hang around here and the E board quite a bit. As soon as my H finds a job and we get our own place, we hope to TTC.

    I am an infant teacher at a preschool in Cbus. I love kids and have a passion for them. I have taught toddlers, pre-k and worked with special needs kids.

    my name is tiffany! I live in German Village (hopefully moving back to Hilliard here soon) and I am getting married in German Village area.

    I am a registered nurse on a med/surg floor at fairfield medical center in Lancaster, OH.

    hi i'm owl. i don't use my real name on the board either. i've met kellyrvt, nnoble, stanzi, missysue and gapeach in real life and i'm looking forward to meeting more people on friday at the next g2g.

    i'm a 26 year old study abroad coordinator at ohio state and i live in clintonville. mr.owl and i are tying the knot in german village next year.

    I'm Carol; met a bunch of the ladies here in real life at the last g2g and hope to meet more this Friday.  I'm 30, live in Plain City and I'm a student affairs administrator at a small liberal arts college.  FI and I are getting married in his hometown in eastern Ohio (just outside Pittsburgh) next November.

    What a good idea!

    I'm Amanda, I grew up in Pickerington and haven't lived full time in Columbus since I was 18 but FI and I are getting married there because most of our family and friends are in Ohio and Indiana.

    I'm 33, I work at Washington University in St. Louis (so live in St. Louis). I get to travel for work to Arizona, New Mexico and the Pacific Northwest, which I enjoy immensely, except for when I have to go to Phoenix in July. My FI and I just bought a house and have been working hard at renovating the second floor. In a few short weeks I will have a brand spankin' new bathroom, I cannot wait!

    Unfortunately I haven't gotten to meet any of you ladies IRL but hopefully that will change at a future g2g :)

    Welcome to the board!  I'm Carla....H and I tied the knot in June but I still hang around on here from time to time.  People on this board were so helpful when I was planning so if can still offer advice and help in any way, then that makes me happy. :)  I'm 33 (until Wednesday) and we live in the Hilliard area.  I work for a software company that is miles and miles away so I spend a lot of time on the road.  I am hoping to change that some day!

    I haven't made it to a g2g yet but I hope to soon and maybe even Friday!

    We are happy to have you here!  I am Jenna.  I grew up about an hour east of Columbus, went to undergrad in Indiana, and now I live close to Easton, outside of Gahanna.  I am 25, and I am a librarian at Strayer University.

    FH and I are getting married in about a month (eek!) at The Valley Dale Ballroom in Columbus.

     I'm a nurse at Riverside & have a few friends that are nurses at FMC on M/S units...you probably know them & we were ALMOST co-workers (I didn't get the job).  I'll PM you their names!

    Hi!

    I am Katie :) I grew up in a town about an hour north of Columbus and moved to Columbus last year. I just recently moved to Hilliard, and I work in Westerville! Would love to find a home close to work so I don't have to fight with 270 traffic everyday!

    My FI and I are getting married in Upper Arlington at his church and we are also having the reception there! Next year at this time we will hopefully be in the proces of buying a home together! :)

    Hi I'm Angie!  I have been on the board for a bit but haven't posted too much!  I actually live in Michigan but my FI is from Dublin so we are getting married in the area!  Our ceremony is at a church in Dublin and reception is at Scioto Reserve next year.  I am a high school math teacher and my FI is currently working in FL...we are doing the long distance thing until the wedding.  I am looking forward to meeting some of you sometime!  Hopefully I can be in the area for one of the get togethers sometime soon :0)

    Hi! I'm Alex. My husband and I have been together for 8 years and married for 1 1/2. We live in German Village and we're both Columbus born and raised. I work at one fashion retailer's home office on the merchandising side and my husband works at another fashion retailer's home office on the sourcing side. 

    We had our ceremony at St. Charles and our reception at Creekside. I pop in every now and then because when I was planning, I used to appreciate advice from married ladies because they'd been through the whole process, and I'm still on the boards becasue I also loved planning our wedding! Hopefully I provide some helpful advice and I love to hear other brides' advice.

    not quite sure if I should introduce myself here or start a new post, as this is my official first reply...

    My name is Ashley. My FI and I just got engaged this past week (on 11/11). We both currently live in Florida and will be getting married in Columbus.
    FI is from OH, and just moved down to FL with me in March. With all of his family and friends being in OH, it just makes sense to have the wedding there.
    So, I will definitely be asking for TONS of help as I will be planning our wedding from long distance.
    I look forward to meeting and getting to know everyone! And hope you all are having a blast planning your weddings!

    HI! I am also new to this whole shindig! lol

    i'm born and raised in cbus currently live in UA. My FI and I have been together for 6 years and actually engaged for about 4...We have 2 beautiful children together (yes we did it backwards!) but I wouldn't change it for the world. We finally have a break and a little extra money to spend on a wedding! we will be tying the knot next september not sure where the cermony will be but the reception will be on ohio state campus since we are huge buckeye nuts (shocking right?) and BTW, what in the world is a g2g?!!

    I'm Shannon. I actually live in Marion, about 45 minutes North of Columbus. My fiance and I did it backwards too. We have a 6 year old boy and a 3 year old girl and have been engaged for 4 years (we've postponed it until August 2013). I wanted to plan it for next year, but FI's brother is getting married in August 2012 too. We are actually wedding photographers and love it! I actually joined the Knot before I started shooting. I wouldn't have a clue where to start planning if it wasn't for my job. I couldn't ask for a better job. I get to be creative, have fun, meet lots of new people and eat good food! :)

    I'm 30 years old, grew up in Worthington and now live with FI in Powell.  I left corporate retail at one of the fashion HQ here in Cbus last year to open a small business and love every second!

    We're getting married 5/19 at the Conservatory using Metro Cusine, Suisse Shoppe, Focus Media Online, Little Tree Studios, B/Rose Beauty Bar, Alfred Angelo, Petals & Leaves, CapitolCitySound, GreenQuince (on etsy), and probably a bunch of other vendors I'm failing to remember at the moment :)

    I dig making jewelry, traveling, food/wine, books, dance class, running, cycling, blah blah.  :)

    SO glad everyone is responding to this thread so well.  I was afraid people would be like "Ughh, we already know each other!!  Can the newb leave?!"  HAHA

    Since everyone is sharing some more info, I'll post some more about me.

    I'm an RN at a Columbus hospital (I hope to never meet any of you in that setting, that would be bad!), love being outdoors, go skiing at Mad River in the winter (I'm horrible at skiing but love it), and doing the LD thing with FI until the wedding.  He's from southern OH but goes to school out of state for now.  We'll be moving out of state (only about 3.5 hours) once we get married.

    Hi everyone!

    I grew up in UA but FI and I live in Chicago now. We are having both the ceremony and reception at Brookside CC and are so excited!

    To new girls who are nervous about posting; these ladies are awesome and so helpful! Planning a wedding where I haven't lived for 7 years was tough at first (for venue I was totally lost), but everyone is so freindly and happy to help. It is amazing!

    Have you girls talked about a December G2G? I want to meet you all, but living out of town makes it difficult!

    I live in Columbus, Grandview Heights, but am getting married in NJ where I grew up. I like to lurk on here to see what's going on with you Cbus girls :). I'm a 3rd grade teacher and have two rescue pugs!

    MissySue, I graduated from Olentangy as well (in 2004)!

    I currently live in the Hilliard area, and have been engaged since early September. My FI and I have been together for almost 8 months, so we've known each other very little time compared to some of you! We are having our wedding and reception at Heritage Golf Club in Hilliard, but we haven't booked anything else yet. We're kind of non-traditional, so I'm hoping our celebration will have a more fun, laid-back feel with lots of DIY touches.
