1) What's with the young brides being so uptight?
2) I love the person who cheers on tired runners.
3) How important is it to you to "fit in" on the boards? That's more of a poll question, but the top secret has me wondering. Or do you feel like you "fit in?"

1) young brides get a really rough time on these boards. Everyone automatically assumes that if they're young, they aren't ready to get married. I've seen it happen time and time again. It must have just happened somewhere and that's what's causing those secrets.
2) Yeah that's nice
3) I feel like I "fit in" now, but there were definitely times when I didn't. It's important to a degree. I mean, if you post here regularly, of course you want to make friends and be liked, that's only natural.
2) I do the same but it wasn't my secret.
3) I worry more about fitting into my jeans.
The cat one makes me sad, I think its just the picture. I don't feel like I fit in, but I'm okay with that, not everyone fits in everywhere kwim? I like to stick around because the girls here crack me up.
1. Over the years i've seen the age thing brought up in a few case. I've also seen where disagreements turn into insults and the young age of the bride is thrown out there. Also, IRL (and i am guilty of this) whenever a young girl is with an older man, the word golddigger is a pretty common thought.
3. I lurk more than post so i dont ever think about fitting in. I dont mean this in a nasty way, but i dont really care about that. I have a ton of friends in my real life. BUT, i do know quite a bit of people who really have no one but their online life is full of "friends". When they fight with someone or a board flames them its as if they have lost real friends. I mean, to each their own. I try hard (and sometimes fail miserably) not to judge them, some people just cant deal with people face to face. Online is just easier.
2. I like that.
3. If I felt I just didn't fit in here, I wouldn't be here. Not everyone is my fan, of course, but I feel like I fit in well enough with the vibe in here. I respect and admire almost all of the posters here, so that helps.
My only thing about getting married young is to make sure you've done what you want to do and experienced different things. But I get that that was important FOR ME. I guess it's not important for everyone. I just changed so much from 18-26 that what I wanted when I was 21 was definitely not what I wanted at 28.

2) I love the person who cheers on tired runners. Me too, I always think, "Man, good for them, I should be doing tha-hey cookies!"
3) How important is it to you to "fit in" on the boards? That's more of a poll question, but the top secret has me wondering. Or do you feel like you "fit in?" It's kind of important, I mean, no one wants to hang out somewhere they feel awkward. I've started feeling like I "fit in" more recently and it's definitely nice.

I don't know that I fit in or don't here; I just know that E is far more entertaining than doing work. As long as TK is more fun than work, I'll probably stick around -- even if only just to lurk.

2) I love the person who cheers on tired runners. Yes. That is so kind. I always loved going to the end of the Boston Marathon and watching the regular runners hoof it in. Everyone cheered for them and they ran a little bit faster with big grins on their faces. It makes me a little emotional....
3) How important is it to you to "fit in" on the boards? That's more of a poll question, but the top secret has me wondering. Or do you feel like you "fit in?" I don't fit in around here. It bothers me sometimes, but mostly it doesn't because I know in real life I would never sit around discussing weddings or girly things. I speak my mind a lot more now around here than I did before because this is just a message board and I like the discussion. What I don't like is topics where everyone agrees and if one person says something different, everyone jumps all over them.

[QUOTE]OH I KNOW. The USA-Canadian health care posts are out of control over there...on...what is it. BPS? NPS?

BPS. I found that mess this morning. Good god - everyone needs to calm down. And that email that was written in to counter the "secrets"? Who thought that was a good idea? Can we all write in a counter arguements and have the whole thing devolve into a fight? Or, can it just be a...ya know... place to post secrets? Grr.
And who are you calling a Cootie Queen, you Lint Licker?? (sorry, love that commercial)
2) I'm a horrible person and just hate that they enjoy running. Working out never makes me happy so I'm jealous that other people seem to enjoy it.
3) I would say that I don't necessarily fit in but I don't clash either and I'm ok with that. I come here because I enjoy passing the time and I find a lot of things here funny.

every relationship is different.
i have not once regretted marrying my husband, but at the same time i could have waited longer to get married. and sometimes i feel self concious about the fact we were married so young. however, he proposed, i knew he was the one i wanted to be with for the rest of my life, and there was no way i could be engaged for a long time. so, married we were. and i couldn't be happier.

2) I love the person who cheers on tired runners. I agree with this statement. I think the encouragement goes a long way.
3) How important is it to you to "fit in" on the boards? That's more of a poll question, but the top secret has me wondering. Or do you feel like you "fit in?" I'm with Joy on this one. No I dont feel like I fit in here that much. I lurk for the entertainment, and may post from time to time. And although I dont post to KPS (I dont even read them anymore) I have posted here and been ignored. So I can empathize.

I always thought you fit in! I guess we all walk the line :)
2. That one made me smile, because I always just wish I had that determination haha.
3. I am not a very avid poster, so I wouldn't say I "fit in" but I feel comfortable here, and I like all of your personalities, I'm not too worried about "fitting in" perfectly.
