Ha. Um, well. Are you at all familiar with TK? LIke, did you know there was an old format? Did it change on TN/TB too? ANYWAY, back in the day, the Etiquette board used to be the Planning and Etiquette board. And Snarky Brides was inhabited by the AFSBers. Then the did the changeover, and the AFSBers relocated to the Caribbean board on TN, because TK sucked royally for awhile and they didn't like the new format.

Then, there was some drama off the boards, and a bunch of P&Eers started coming over to regulate on the wasteland of SB, which was now all crazyfied with people that thought it was ok to throw your own showers and kick out bridesmaids. And then more people migrated with their friends. And then there was a bunch of crazy and passive aggressiveness and more crazy that basically involved some people on each board hating the other board, some people who were new and confused and liked both boards, and a bunch more crazy, and then we all Thunderdomed it out, and we coexist peacefully now.

It sounds really dumb when I type it all out.

I still can't get used to TK format from being on TB, it kind of hurts my eyes. I can't imagine how much worse it used to be. On TB we can see the number of views a post has next to the number of posts, which I really like because then you can tell when a post is turning into a total trainwreck. You can also change it so that the newest post within a thread shows up first. I noticed that you can do that by clicking on the number of posts here or the arrow when you first open the post but it still takes a little more effort because it doesn't stay that way. I do appreciate the lack of 5 tickers here though.

Yeah, we're pretty militant about sig sizes, at least on the national boards. Club boards and local boards are another story.

I actually preferred the old format (though now I can't even remember what it looked like). And I hate TN/TB format, but it's probably one of those things that whatever you get used to first you prefer.
