Things that make you smile...

There's a guy in my office who laughs EXACTLY like Eddie Murphy, and everytime I happen to hear him, I smile because it's so cute to me. I just heard him; thus, this post.

When my kitties drink water out of the faucet and then look at me with little water droplets in their whiskers, it makes me smile because its so cute, but I hate that they won't stay still long enough for me to take a picture.

What little things make you smile?

  • When I am grumpy waiting in line at the grocery store and there is a little baby in a carrier in front of me and it is it is so little good cute and QUIET and out of nowhere just smiles at me.

  • I got an email today from a friend that made me smile. It was a forward of a really old email about a group we ran and it had intros and bio information on lots of people that we lost touch with. Also, most of the bio information on the people who are still active in the group was out of date in a very cute way.
  • Leo's "I'm probably not supposed to be eating this" face.

All of the snow that just fell.  Now I can watch Man of the house with H and pig out on salad w/ Pasta House dressing and leftover mashed potatoes.  I like being snowed in.
    Leo says hi. He's...special.

  • I love that we were watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition the other day and I saw DH wipe tears away. He doesn't cry very often.

I love a voicemail that I've been saving for nearly a year from my nephew that says, "Aunt Jessica, could you bring me some more peanut butter? I love you, bye."

I was at the grocery store that day. I love to listen to that on a bad day.
  • Waking up to find FI spooning the dog.

Having a cat obsessed with draping herself across my lap at all times.

Hitting the "100 days till the wedding" mark tomorrow.

  • This picture.  Every time ;)

  • Knowing that Wednesday is thiiiiiiis close to being over, and that my SO comes home from a week-long business trip on Friday!  Eeeeeee!  Stupid trip the week of our anniversary, but it was a huge opportunity for him work-wise, so its all good.

    Holy crap! Don't remind me.
  • Feeling the little guy moving around in my belly. He's getting *really* active.
  • Sorry, cew.  I'm smiling because it means I will soon be able to return to normal life!

  • "You still make me catch myself and stop to think... she's mine." a text from DH today.
  • Going off the shopping cart thing, I like when I make a face at a kid and it cries or better yet it makes a face and gets reprimanded, "We don't make faces like that, young man."  I proceed to stick my tongue out again.

Oh and when Mark makes me a cocktail.  That always brings a smile.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

  • When FI and I are watching TV together and our cat Molly comes up and snuggles with him and gives me a guilty look like "what? he's cuddlier!"
  • At the grocery store where I shop there is this mentally challenged guy that works there bagging groceries. He is always so happy and smiling and he makes jokes and everyone loves him. Whenever I'm leaving, he hands me my bags and says "Hi! I'm John! Did I do a good job?" and he always does an awesome job. I wish I could give him a hug he's so sweet.

  • Knowing that I get to eat corn nuggets for dinner tonight.  Horribly unhealthy, but ridiculously delicious.

Thinking about moving far away from here after the wedding :)

<div>Hug him!  Especially if he has Downs - they're usually so affectionate ;)</div>
  • I would totally do it if I wasn't afraid I'd be arrested for assault of a mentally challenged person by the grocery store police.

People with Down's Syndrome are all different like everyone else.  Some like to be hugged, some don't.

I would, however, give him a dollar as a tip for doing such a good job.

  • Max sticks his nose in the snow every.single.time he goes outside. It makes me really, really laugh, and makes things brighter.

J just bought new tires and brakes for my car and changed them for me on his day off, so I'd be safer driving around in this godforsaken weather.

Do not mess in the affairs of dinosaurs because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • Oooh how did I forget?  Little red envelopes containing RSVP cards waiting for me in the mail.  We got 4 yesterday, it made me waaaaay too happy.
  • Ya, I'm with Jess on the voicemail thing.  I have a few saved messages from my nephew when he was 2 or so and they are so adorable, I get the biggest grin on my face when I hear them.

When H comes back to bed after letting the dog out at 4am and wraps his arms around me.  I usually can't sleep this way but it's sweet.

Aw, thanks, Naaght (how it sounds out loud). :) I'd probably sound pretty country to some people here. I try to keep my syllables short and sweet in public.

<div>I'm sure you're right.  Just like everyone else they have their own personalities.  But I've honestly never come across someone with Down's who wasn't extremely huggable ;)  Every one of them that I've ever met was like an angel.</div><div>
    </div><div>And he'd probably love the dollar tip.</div>
