Best Car: 2007 Honda Civic coupe. It's my current car and I absolutely love it. Not one issue, except a cracked sun visor which they replaced both sun visors for free. I have over 100,000 miles on it and I've needed brakes and tires and that's it for expenses. It's a manual, and I drive it 50 miles a day at least. It's so fun.
Worst Car: 2005 VW Touareg. OMG. VW Corporate is lucky the owners of those shitbags didn't come together and blow up their offices. That car was HORRIBLE. It was in for service 13 times in the 12 months I owned it, and it was for major things like control arms and alignments and complete electrical death, which left me stranded three different times. The Service Dept. knew me by name, as did the car rental place next door. Once a month I had a different car for 3-4 days while they figured out what was wrong each time. It was a nightmare. I called my Attorney General to start the process of filing a lemon law infraction when I happened to check the trade-in value online while I was on hold. They were trading for the same price I paid for mine, so I took it that day and traded it in. I've never been so happy and so lucky to get out of such a fucking awful car. I'll never touch a damn VW again because of it.
1) 1991 Dark Blue Toyota Camry: Only 3 windows worked, it leaked oil near the end of it's life, air worked when I bought it in October but stopped working by spring/summer. It was a V6 which did not help my lead foot.
2) 2004 Kia Rio: Nothing special about it really but I loved this car because it was the perfect size and it was "blue" (periwinkle). ETA: I slid and ran Perry into a tree.
3) 2012 Silver Hyundai Accent: Came with a free month of XM built into the dashboard so I can get it again when/if I so desire. My first brand-new car! Awesome gas mileage.

It was great until the ceiling started to leak everytime it rains. It now has a funky smell I cannot get rid of. Posted by ArynBaker[/QUOTE]
My dream car is a bright green VW Beetle but I don't like the new ones. :(
My first car was a total lemon. It was a VW Cabrio - I adored it but it was constantly in the shop for major issues - not just little things here and there. My dad was explaining to the owner how awful it was and when the owner accused him of exaggerating, my dad said "your mechanics know my name," and almost on cue, a guy walked through the door and goes "Hey Mr. Geaux's Dad!" Hilarious.
I didn't have a car for a long time because I didn't need one in college, but when I started law school my mom gave me her old 330ci. She'd won it in a St. Jude's raffle (awesome) and I adored that car.
Midge, my dream car is a baby blue VW convertable with tan seats and manual drive. I probably won't ever get one since we're planning on starting a family in a few years and car seats don't fit well in the back of a beetle.
First car was a 1989 'mercury cougar. I loved that car, I had it for two years and then the frame was rotting.
Second car was a 91 Corsica. It was ok
Third car was a 2001 Hyundai elantra. Worst car I ever owned. I got it in 2007 and it had problem after problem after problem. I still get mad when I think about it.
I now currently drive a 98 Honda accord that has 125k miles on it. I am in love with this car. My next car will probably be a newer Honda accord.
Aryn, I'd need an automatic. I've never driven a stick (I know I should learn but I can't even think of anyone I know that has a vehicle with one). Which of course just makes them more expensive.

<div>What pissed me off most was that VW knew they were shiit just a few months in, but they kept telling me mine was a unique case and they hadn't heard of any other owners having these problems. I went online and searched, and almost every single VW forum was full of the exact same issues as mine. That pissed me off. Then they said they were behaving under the 50,000 mile warranty as they should, and that's all they were prepared to do, rather than replacing it. I was terrified what would happen if I rolled 50,001 miles on the thing. </div><div> </div><div>When I bought my civic I was looking at a Volvo coupe at my local dealership, where they sell VWs. A salesguy asked me if I wanted to look at some VW coupe as well, and I told him I drove a Touareg. He just grimmaced and said, "Oh. You won't ever try a VW again, will you?" Fuuuck no, buddy. I will not. </div>
I'm still driving my first car. My parents bought me a 2000 Camry when I was 16, and it still runs wonderfully. It has 148K miles on it, and I fully expect it to last at least until 200K or I turn 30, whichever is later.
My dad drove a Camry for 13 years until some asshat hit him. He now drives an Avalon. My mom has a Highlander.
My brother is the rebel--he's on his second Subaru Forester. The first was totaled last Christmas when he had an involuntary collision with the highway divider.
Oh, and H loves my Camry so much, he bought his cousin's '98. We have matching cars.
We watched Harold and Maude last night and the mom gives Harold a 1960s baby blue Jaguar convertible. I don't know enough about cars to know what it is. Of course, he converts it to a hearse, but before the conversion it was a pretty fun looking car!
My first car was a '91 Honda Accord. I took that baby to 205,000 miles before the alternator went out and the cost to fix it was more than the car was worth.
Then I had my '99 Honda Accord which I just traded in for a CR-V. We love our Hondas. I swear it's the only car brand that I will buy. I love my new CR-V, since I got it with ALL the bells and whistles. My favorite feature is the back-up camera, which really helps during parking situations.
The only other station wagons that I can think of are Volvos.
I know a bunch of people up here have Outbacks for the 4 wheel drive and handling in snow. We actually have two of the exact same car in the parking lot.
I have had a few...my least favorite was my 94 Saturn, the ceiling fabric kept tearing and falling apart and the floor leaked.
I had a 2006 Sentra, that I really liked but I didn't like how the cup holder was positioned in front of the buttons so that made it difficult and the radio was cruddy.
Since November i've had a 2006 Nissan Altima that I love but because it's so low to the ground the under carriage hits FI's driveway, so he's going to put something on it to protect it. It also needs some minor body done to it thanks to the previous owners, but I love it.

My worst was a 1990 Chevy Corsica that I bought for about $1400. I found out that it wasn't worth half that. Between my dad and I, we put at least that much into fixing it. It had been in an accident before I bought it and whoever put it back together did an awful job. Ugh. I finally gave up and got something different when I took it into the shop when it would barely moved even though I was flooring it. Come to find out that my old roommate dumped sugar in my gas tank after I took her to court for the $600 she owed me. Blessing in disguise.
My favorite was a 1990 Grand Prix GT, black with a sunroof and a spoiler. My first car! I only had it because it had been my brother's but he couldn't afford the insurance on it after he got a DUI so my parents took over the payments and let me drive it. It went fast, and I got attention from guys when I was driving around in it.
My first car was a '97 Pontiac Sunfire. I liked that little car, it got awesome gas mileage. The downside is that it was manual doors and windows - so that sucked. It also didn't have much get-up and go. It was a two door coupe, and so there was really no room in the backseat.
I had an '03 Chevy Malibu I bought brand new and drove it until about two months ago. I actually loved that car. It never gave me any issues and ran for over 160,000 miles. It was fully loaded, and got great gas mileage. If I had to get another car, I would definitely consider it again provided I could get leather (since it seems they don't make them with it anymore).
I currently have a 2012 Toyota Highlander that I am in LOVE with. For a mid-size SUV it gets great gas mileage, has tons of room (3 rows), and drives great. We're a Chevy family, but I'm seriously in love with my Highlander.
I wanted a Tahoe, but the price for a brand new one was just too high. I really preferred the look of the 4-Runner more than the Highlander, but it didn't have nearly the room or features inside.

Liked: 2002 Buick Rendezvous. It was a good car, just much bigger than I needed, and kind of a grandma SUV
Loved: 1999 Geo Prizm. It finally died with 200,000 miles
Love: My new (to me) 2004 Mini. So far so good.

I drive a 2008 Dodge Avenger now, and I love it!
