Gift for Officiant

Hello. I need ideas.  We are donating money to our officiant for the wedding and we are not sure of the amount, but we are settling somewhere around 150.  I know however, that he will give that to the church.  We would also like to get him something personal - as we really learned a lot from him during premarital counseling.  We don't know him well, as we do not attend that church, so I am kind of stuck,
IDEAS?

Re: Gift for Officiant

  • Hmmm... not sure on that one... maybe talk to some of the people who go to the church to get a sense of him.

My priest and I are both HUGE into music, so he'll get something music-related from us.  Haven't paired down exactly what yet, but that's the general idea.

The priest we had (died a few years ago) before him was probably the best non-professional chef ever made, so we probably would have gone cooking related there.  Some sort of new gadget.
  • My friend got her pastor a frame! It was wood and had "Pastor's Family" engraved at the bottom. It was nice and simple.
  • I skimmed though the other posts but if you want to get him something nice not sure of your budget but ediable arrangment pieces are really nice and yummy.  plus its not going to be something that they have to put somewhere to get dusty or something.

Maybe if he doesn't have this in his church office..engraved name plate?
Check Hallmark they have a new selection of engravable stuff they do it right in the store at no additional charge.
