Hey yall
Im a Mrs!!!! I can't believe it. I feel great!!! Lemme tell you about my day!!
So, the rehearsal went well. People didnt show up on time but it was ok. 2 of the groomsmen and the flower girl got into an accident. Someone hit them from behind but it was minor. They were all ok. The rehearsal dinner was at my sisters'/MOH house. The food was delicious and the house was decorated well. Since my reception was at the Marriott they gave me a room for the night before the wedding. I had a little issue with them because we made Welcome Baskets for my guests and they weren't giving them to the guests as the arrived. But they gave me a connecting room to the suite for my BMs.
So my hair appointment was at 7am. My mother must have been anxious and excited so she came knocking on my door at 530am!!! My sister and I had a kick out of it bc she was completely dressed with her purse on ready to go....for my hair appointment that would take 10mins to get to!!! I was annoyed at first bc it took me forever to slow my brain down to fall asleep, but I had to laugh lol My appointment went well. i was in and out!! 1 hour 30min and he hooked it up!! I recommend Lamar Edward Salon in DC. Dervelle did my hair. I got dressed. My sister did my makeup and did a great job.
I was calm cool and collected all morning.....until I stepped on my aisle runner. I was diappointed in myself bc I didnt wanna have an ugly cry but it was ok. I couldnt see my husband but as soon as I did, I started crying more bc he was crying. It was soo sweet.
My reception was FUN!! We came into the reception to Bootsie Collins "Id rather be with you" lol. We had on gold star glasses and he had out Rock Band Guitar on. It was Great!!!
The only part I was disappointed about was the flowers. They werent fully bloomed but everything still looked nice.
The Best part was the party. Open bar, music was great, dance floor was packed. Also, we had a friend record the whole thing for us on our personal video camera, for FREE and we watched the video and it was just as good. Also, one of my BMs is a photographer and I didnt even notice her snapping pics throughout the day...for FREE. So....here they are!!! ENJOY
