Last Monday before July Knotties start getting married!!!! AHHHH!!!!! It is getting so exciting!!!

WR: Call DJ and set up appt to go over day of songs and events, call reception site with unofficial numbers and try and get responses from the 10 people still missing 2 weeks after the due date, finish favors, get manicure to start prepping nails and pick up my dress!!!! Start getting stuff together to go back to PA at the start of next week.

NWR: FI is the BM in a wedding this Saturday! Totally taking advantage of that! Also, lots of the groom's family is in town from England and we're really close with them so we'll be hanging out with them a lot!

Happy Monday!

I went to the MAC store and got the last of my makeup for the wedding day. I was super excited because I got an amazing liquid eyeliner that I am in love with. Yesterday, I tested out the false eyelashes because I wanted to make sure that my hand would be steady enough and that they would stay on for a long time.

On Wednesday, I am bringing our paper lanterns and cake table stuff to the venue, eek! FI was really great with helping me iron table overlays yesterday too.

Also, I made the decision to get a 2nd dress and it should be here by Thursday! I tried it on in my gown search so it should fit perfectly.

AHHH It's getting so close! Thank god I don't have to work anymore so i have plenty of time!

WR: Figure out music/meet with DJ, call hairdresser re: trial and timing day of, finish TY's, Track down last few RSVP's, Seating chart, finish BM gifts, pick up FI's gift. I'm sure there is something I'm forgetting.

NWR: Clean, Laundry, watch West Wing (my sister and I are rewatching the whole series).

Last Monday before July... holy heck, that's nuts!

My weekend was great. We finally did our pre-marital prep class this weekend and it was actually really good. We hit it off with the two other couples in our group and made plans to meet up for drinks after our wedding, so I'm excited for that.

WR: Pick out songs for videographer. Finish escort cards. Final meeting with DJ. Start packing. EEEEEK!

NWR: Nothing out of the ordinary.

This week just working out and getting FMIL to track down her 14 non rsvp's so we can get working on our seating chart!!

Penny you are getting married THIS Sunday!!!! I still cannot believe this. Holy crap.

We had a good wedding-filled weekend. We put all our favors together, worked some more on the day-of timeline, bought all the cards and gift wrapping things for the WP gifts, and started wrapping. These are FI's GM gifts that he wrapped all by himself! He is so cute haha.

This week, I have to call the venue and give them our final count, finalize our day-of timeline, finish up my BM gifts, and pack for my bachelorette party in Chicago this weekend!! Oh, and today is also our very last dance lesson! I am so excited for that.

NWR: Not too much out of the ordinary. The job at FI's school that I'm applying for will be posted this week so I have to get my cover letter in order and apply!

Holy Crap Penny, you are getting married this weekend!!!! CONGRATS!!!!

WR: We are meeting with the Limo company to pay them off and finalize our plans. I have my hair and make-up trial this weekend also. I have to also start doing my shower thank you's as well.

NWR: My furniture is being delivered this weekend and of course it has to be when it is wicked nice out. Other than that probably go to the movie and watch the Abraham Lincoln movie.

Hiii everyone!!!!

FI and I went to a wedding this past Friday at our venue. There were a few things that were doing different and some tiny things that I want to ask our wedding coordinator about. Like, the lights were a bit bright for the bridal party and bride/groom entrance. So, I'd like them to be a bit dimmer.

Today, FI and I are going to get him sized for the suit and to also hunt down paper for our programs. We're getting a bit more involved with them that I thought we would.

And yeah, I can't believe were a week away from July!

Soooo jealous that you got to do this!

School ended Thursday and I've been busy with NWR things plus my boudoir shoot since then. The boudoir shoot was less scary than I expected for anyone considering it- the photographer was confident and told me exactly how to pose. I'm nervous to see the shots though! FI had his bachelor party in AC so I was lonely the past few days- it was the first time he hasn't slept at our place when I was home in the 2 years we've lived together and I missed him a lot.

WR: figure out our to-do list and assign jobs to FI and myself, and then figure out what we can ask people for help with. We're totally behind on music and decor and need to figure our sh!t out!

NWR: Science club Tuesday-Thursday this week (long days in the Sun but to be outside for $30/hr isn't terrible). Going camping on the cape with my fam + FI Friday-Monday. It's one of my favorite vacations each year and I"m really looking forward to it.

Colleen, the paper didn't come that way, he made the whole thing, I was super impressed haha. He bought black and white rolls of wrapping paper and wrapped them in white first. Then he somehow wrapped the black over it and folded it so that it looked like the tux coat. Then cut out the little black bowties. I was wrapping my girls' gifts at the time too so I didn't pay too much attention, but that's about the jist of it!

Happy Monday! I can't believe this is our last Monday in June! Craziness!

I had my bachelorette party this weekend in NYC which was fun! I really liked the restaurant we went to and it was nice going out with the girls

WR: Today my mom and I are going to Costco to purchase chocolates for the favors and goodies for the OOT guests. Our seating chart is basically finished! I just need to write a few more escort cards. We will also be going to the venue at some point this week to drop off the final payment, and I need to drop off my grandmother's bracelet at the florist for my bouquet. FI also wants me to help him order his GM gifts which we have to do ASAP. I also need to buy gift bags for the BMs and bags for the OOT guests. And Friday is my final dress fitting! Lots of little things to get done!

NWR: Not too much besides work and hitting the gym! I also have a job interview tomorrow for a teaching position at my mom's school. I like my job now, but I think it's totally worth going on the interview.

Holy crap Penny your ticker scares the bejeezus out of me!!!! Congrats on getting married this weekend!

My weekend was good, we finalized our program design and started working on cutting out all the pieces to it, I see a few long nights with scissors in our hands in the future. We also got our final RSVPs in and sent off headcounts to everyone. We also figured out our seating chart!

And I just got told by my baker that they don't do gluten-free cupcakes actually (uhhh wtf?!) but they are going to do cakes and cut them? I'm not sure about this, I'm going tomorrow to get a sample and meet with the owner as this is a huge deal for me and a question that ruled out many bakers.

NWR - Not much besides my usual working, but only 4 and a half days this week and I have next week off. Plus my boss (and only other co-worker) is out all week on vacation so its just me in the office!!

WR - We are getting our marriage license on Thursday afternoon/evening, the only day city hall is open beyond 4 pm. Also working on favors, table numbers, place cards, and programs all week long. This weekend will probably be an arts & crafts weekend to finish all our DIY projects for the most part.

We are a little bit in shock too. I go through phases of just being completely numb to all of it because it just feels like it is taking forever!! Lol. Right now I am really happy and just waiting for my last day of work on Wednesday!

Thurs - Dr's appt
             pick up flowers
             trim stems on flowers and do rough draft of how to arrange them in vases
             pick up dress
             meeting with lighting coordinator for uplights and ceremony decorations

Fri     -   visit with out of town relatives
             trim flowers and do rough draft of arranging them in vases
              buy apples which are being used as escort cards

Sat   -    drop everything off at DOC's house with FI
              hopefully have a relaxing lunch with FI
              stay at hotel with 3 friends for night before and have dinner plans

Happy Monday, everyone! I'm just about threw up when I saw "19 days" on my ticker this morning. I finished all of my shower thank yous this weekend, but that's all I accomplished. We still have to get our marriage license, finalize our guest list, make our seating chart, do our music for the reception, find calligrapher for menu/seating chart, etc. (my mom doesn't trust I'll do it "nicely" so we're hiring someone), finalize who is walking with whom, and it feels like SO many other things!

I love the bow and I started to get really overwhelmed by the thought having to drag my other dress around the whole night and get really hot. I found it as a sample on Oncewed and she is shipping it express to me this week! I really love it and I can't decide if I should wear it the whole time or just for the reception.

Penny, I LOVE your second dress! So much fun and totally different than your first dress. I like this, because I went to a friend's wedding and her two dresses were nearly indistinguishable which I found odd. LOVE both of yours, though!

Penny - that dress is so cute! When you say "wear it the whole time" do you mean that you might not wear your original dress at all?

I have a second dress, too. I only got it to wear after the reception b/c we're doing an aftery party at a major dive bar that is on the docks of the harbor, so I just can't see myself wearing my gown there, but now I'm wondering if I should put it on a little earlier in the night. I guess I can just kind of play it by ear.

Yeah, I honestly wish that I could wear the new dress for the ceremony and reception but I think that it will hurt my Mom's feelings because she LOVES my original dress so I will probably just wear it for the reception.

I feel really bad but during my last fitting for the original dress, I wore it for an hour and the inside of my arms were so scratched from the beading plus being hot! Ugh, first world problems, lol.

This is why I bought a second dress. I wasn't going to but I got my original dress for half price ($450) and the second dress was only $200 and it was really early on in planning haha. I had mine on at my last fitting last Wednesday and it was about 100 degrees out and I was like so glad I bought this second one.

I am hating life today after my Bachelorette Party, but had the best time ever!!! I love Vegas :-) I have no voice and my whole body is sore.

Today after work we have a meeting with our month of wedding coordinator to go over a ton of final details.

Also have our final meeting with the florist on Saturday morning.

I need sleep!!!
