Since graduating I've tried to go to a gym if possible, or go running & play sports with DH. As soon as we got back to the States in October we joined a gym to stay fit for the wedding! We're both still going. </div><div style="font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10px;background-color:initial;background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial;color:#1f1f1f;font:normal normal normal 11px/14px Arial, sans-serif;text-align:left;">

A good workout for me = 30mins elliptical, a bunch of crunches, some reps on the hip abductor machines, sometimes the hamstrings and occasionally the pec/bicep machine.</div><div style="font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10px;background-color:initial;background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial;color:#1f1f1f;font:normal normal normal 11px/14px Arial, sans-serif;text-align:left;">

</div><div>I can't believe I haven't done zumba yet! I need a friend to go with. Anyway, the gym I went to in Australia had all sorts of fun classes! I miss it, but it was like $50 per month. maybe more. My gym now is $20 per month and just has basic stuff... but they do have a room with a big screen to watch whatever movie is playing! I enjoy that.</div><div>
</div>[QUOTE]I did the elliptical last night and my ankle feels great today!  I think it is going to be great for me.

<div>I LOVE the elliptical (learned it was called a cross trainer in Australia!) I can't stand running. It hurts my ankle and my back and my boobs shake and I get so puffed. I'm a lot more comfortable with the elliptical so I think I get a better workout that way.</div>

[QUOTE]Elisabeth, good point.  Everyone can do it their own way.  I just wish there were more options for competitive activities as an adult.  It's hard for me to find things I like.

My future husband is the competitive type. His gym has monthly contests: Most pounds lifted, most visits. He's never met the people he competes against, but it motivates him.
