    My budget is 1,000 for 33 people.  Dinner is going to run about 12/person, drinks are $3 each.  We're planning on having apps or soup/salad for everyone also.

    I have no clue what the budget is exactly, my FMIL is planning and inviting a LOT of people.  I know the price per person of the menu we picked is around $35 and that doesn't include renting the space or alcohol (though we will be bringing it in)  There will be at least 50-75 people.

    I just got quotes from Lettuce Entertain You which owns a lot of the standard places brides hold their rehearsal dinner in Chicago..including (maggianos, scoozis, nat'l 27, and many more.) for about 50 people they had a $2000 food/bev minimum for most of the restaurants. Your budget really depends on how many people you plan on having there.

    Thanks ladies! I just ran the totals for our rehearsal dinner and I was just curious, because I thought our's was a little high, but looks like we're right on! We're having around 45 people. Super excited about it! =)

    Ohhh great post!  I've been wondering about this.  I recently priced mine out for about 35 ppl and it's about $1000.  But this doesnt really include alcohol!  I have no idea if this is the norm????

    We're having our rehearsal dinner at the parish hall and a friend is preparing the food for 50 people as a gift.  So we only have to cover for the actual cost of the food and decor.  Cool, uh?

    We are having ours at Nookies too.  It is BYO.  We are looking at about 15/person.  plus transportation from Downtown to Lincoln Park.
