  • I think buduoir photos would be fun! Unfortunately we probably won't have the money for it till WAY after the wedding. I am totally down for it though - not super comfortable about my stomach but if I wear a bustier, problem solved!

Yeah, the posts have been in order, but they changed the time to PST, and I don't understand that yet. I think it's like, 3 or 4 hours behind my time? But either way, I never know if a thread is still chatting or not (although I suppose I could look and see when the last person posted and then count down from there... but I'm way too lazy for that).

Well, yes and no. The ring we will be using for my wedding band is a family ring. I knew that I wanted to use this ring for my wedding band before FI even proposed. So when we started looking at rings, none of the current styles really matched what we wanted. I wanted something that would match my grandmother's ring and that wouldn't take FI 8 years to pay off. So honestly, we started looking at pawn shops and found the most gorgeous ring that fits with my grandmother's ring so well and was right in our price range.

It actually resembles the ring my dad gave my mom which was given to him by his mother which was given to her by her uncle after his fiancee broke of their engagement while he was away at war during WWII.

my sister has two cats. She carts them back and forth from her apartment an hour away to our house in one of the bigger metros every weekend. You'd think that after two years of this that they'd be used to it by now, but no. They still whine obnoxiously every time.

hmmm that's an idea. But Jade (older kitty) was not at all fond of Snips (younger kitty) when my sister first got them. Jade's still territorial over humans with Snips. She gets mad at us if we try to pay attention to Snips instead of her.

well if she wants to try, what we did was get a big carrier and we just left in in the living room for a couple of days.  Then we added a couple of treats in the carrier (so they would go in it willingly).   After about a week, they would be in it together- after we saw that, we closed the door, and left them in it together for a few minutes, then opened the door back up.  We did this for several days and it worked for us (we also have an older cat and a kitten).  Might just be luck but it really has helped us!

hmmmm, I will share this with my sister. Her cats both like their crates when it means they're not being "locked up" so to speak. when she tries to go to bed at night she keeps them in the room with her and if Jade senses imprisonment coming, she hides...in the couch. No Joke.

Yea i saw some of that today.  And one of my posts went to a totally different thread.  I was very confused.

Sometimes putting the cats together in a larger carrier works.  With the cryer, its her daughter she gets caged with, so they feed off each other even though they are now 5 and 6.  Momma cries. Baby thinks Oh no momma is getting killed, CRY, momma thinks oh no baby is getting killed, cry, in an endless circle.

I'm so glad the cats don't have to travel anytime soon.  I'm having enough other problems with them.

FI actually made me laugh the other day because I had gotten a shellac mani and he asked me if I was going to do that for the wedding. I told him probably so. He liked that there wasn't so much bulk as with an acryllic set, and it still was pretty and lasts a while. He apparently likes it, which surprised the crap outta me.
