Re: Random Questions to Make the Day Go Faster...

1. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can, What can you touch? The wall next to the couch, and the window if I reach really far.

2. What is on the walls of the room you are in? Oh my, lots of posters.  Our paint job in our apartment is terrible so we put up lots of posters to make it look better.  The big ones are LOST, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, some skiing posters, and lots of nature ones.  A lot of them are on the floor though as we're changing them up a little.

3. Would you ever consider living abroad?  I'd consider it.  BF and I only speak English so I would want it to be a popular language wherever we lived.  If you asked me last year I would have said no, but I've lived away from family so I think it wouldn't be as hard.  But I probably wouldn't want to stay for more than a year.

4. Do you really know all the words to your national anthem? Yes.

5. What's under your bed? A few bits of plastic?  We put together our new bed last night so we were too exhausted to clean afterwards.  Otherwise, nothing.

6. Do you sing in the shower?  Sometimes.  If I'm in a really good mood.

7. How far away from your birthplace do you live now? 4319 km according to google maps.  But its 4375 km if you go through Canada only.

8. Name something you do when you're alone that you wouldn't do in front of others.  Sing.  I love singing but I'm sadly one of those people that was gifted with a voice that makes others cringe.  I sing along with the radio with BF but in front of no one else.

9. Have you ever called your SO by an ex's name?  No.  But somewhat related, BF's dad is terrible with names.  He calls his own kids by their dog's names sometimes, or mixes them up.  He also can't keep my name and BF's older brother's GF's names straight.  Its pretty funny.

10. What is the best compliment you have ever received?  Oh I have no idea.  A lot of people compliment my hair, which makes me feel good as normally all I want to do is cut if off as it drives me nuts.  The best thing that I can remember off the top of my head that made me feel all mushy was when BF told me right after I crossed the stage at our university graduation how proud he was of me, and that watching me accept my diploma was one of the best moments for him.

1. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can, What can you touch?
A bag of chips and some reports

2. What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Nothing. They're white and I think there's a clock or two. They are however, putting photos up in the hallway as I type.

3. Would you ever consider living abroad?
I would. I think it would be awesome.

4. Do you really know all the words to your national anthem?
I do.

5. What's under your bed?
Boxes, winter boots, whatever Riley has hidden.

6. Do you sing in the shower?
No.

7. How far away from your birthplace do you live now?
Literally, three blocks.

8. Name something you do when you're alone that you wouldn't do in front of others.
Wipe. I think that's the only thing I still shield from FI.

9. Have you ever called your SO by an ex's name?
No.

10. What is the best compliment you have ever received?
I completely forgot the wording but my mom wrote it down somewhere. We went to The Holocaust Museum for a field trip and our guide was an old Jewish woman who had gone through concentration camps. My friends and I were goofing off as usual (not rude/distuptive like though) and the woman comes up to me mid-tour and asked me to come see her when we were finished. I was scared sh!tless the entire tour, thinking I was in trouble but when I went to talk to her at the end, she told me I had a (can't remember the word, kind, gentle, who knows) spirit about me and something else, I forgot. I had never talked to this woman during the tour so I thought it was pretty cool to point me out of a crowd to tell me that.
I am also happy when people tell me they can see how far I've come from three years ago when I was 278 pounds, very unhappy, very unhealthy, and lacked motivation to where I am now at 165 and have clear goals and try to make myself better each day. I have been known to downplay it I guess.
Posted by elannis
Wow! You are my inspiration! I would love to be 165lbs. I was at 220 for most of my adult life (about 10 years), but I got down to 190. Now I'm stuck with lack of motivation and I don't understand why I can't kick it in gear and keep going! But I will keep persevering and Lord help me, I'll get there. Thanks for sharing!
