How many without looking tacky?

Hi Ladies,

So I am trying to figure out who I should ask to be a part of our special day. I am thinking of between 6-9  girls because I have very close friends and a few close family memebers. I don't want our wedding to look tacky though either. How many is 2 many...I don't want it to look like a circus!

    IMO:  anything over 6 begins to look silly.  I mean really, who has 9 people that they simply MUST have standing up front?  And when you have an army, it pretty much, for me, dilutes the "honor" of being in the WP.

    And remember, each person that you ask increases your expense:  flowers, gifts, guests, ancillary expenses.

    Your wedding is just over a year away.  Wait a couple of months to ask anyone.

    How many of those people are "can't exclude" people?

    How many of those people are "I *could* include them but I don't HAVE to" people?

    Don't exclude very close friends just because of a number. That being said, smaller bridal parties are a lot easier to manage. If you have to make cuts somewhere, my suggestion would be to keep it family-only, because I think good friends would understand that.
