QOTD 2/27

Do you consider yourself to be a klutz?  Either way, what was one of your most clumsy moments?

I wouldn't classify myself as a klutz but I definitely have moments.  Saturday night I was upstairs wrapping my FI's birthday present and when I came down stairs I slipped in my socks on the carpet and completely biffed it.  I fell right on the edge of a stair on the spot where your leg meets your butt (nicely bruised now) and ended up straightening my back and pinching a nerve and slid down a few steps and then started cracking up.  My FI ran up stairs to see if I was ok since it was a loud, awkward landing and then he saw me laughing and figured I was ok.

I can be a very big klutz. I fall up the stairs all of the time and I even trip over my own feet.

I'm trying to think of the worst one but I can't really think of anything right now. One time in high school I was walking backwards in the library and turned around right into a pole. I know there are worse ones than that though.

Yes. Fi thinks I'm the clutziest person he has ever met. Dropping things, tripping, running into corners of walls. Although, I have heard that you get more "off-balance" when it's that time of the month. I think it's true! Anyone have this experience???

My absolute worst moment was probably in high school. I was filling out an answer on the board and went to walk back to my desk and tripped over the cord that was connected to the overhead projector. Totally fell forward, super man style, then dove into a a forward roll. Ha. Overall, a pretty graceful fall. But still SO embarassing! ha. I ended up under another students desk. :)

Another one was after we won our college volleyball conference tournament I was so excited and jumping up and down. I went to turn to go shake hands with the other team and totally took the ref out. We both ended up on our butts. I felt so bad!!

Megan, that sounds like a tough landing. Ouch! Hope you feel better soon.

I definately have my moments. I always seem to be rushing around.... which isnt a good combo with being a klutz. After I work out, I am a major klutz. I think I work out so hard that i just lose some control of my body! It's weird... I have learned to sit down and chill out after I work out.

I remember in high school rushing up the steps to class with all of the my books and biffing it and all of my books flew down 2 flights of stairs, over the railings. And I was a freshman and I was by the seniors lockers. NOT COOL!

I am a pretty big klutz. I can't think of any huge klutz moments, but usually I just whack a body part into something and end up with bruises that I don't remember. Usually these bruises are on my knees.

I have my moments. In 8th grade I was sort of skipping/running to my locker before lunch and somehow I tripped and fell flat on my face. My binders and papers went everywhere. The "disciplinarian" of the school came around the corner at the same time and thought my friends pushed me.

Oh yes. I don't think I've had a biggest moment but a lot of little ones. I fall down the stairs a lot. If I slip or anything my mom's like is that Katelyn (from the kitchen) and she'll be like you have to take one step at a time. I fell so much and ran into things so much when I was little she had my eyes checked lol

I am a super klutz and so isn't my son. LOL.

Just last Sunday, I sprained my ankle leaving church. Now, come on, not too many people can say that. I was walking out with heels on and my heel got stuck in a hole and it was like slow motion of me falling and twisting my ankle. My foot right now is also all bruised. It looks nasty.

This is now the 5th time I've sprained my ankle. Twice from playing basketball, once from getting up out of bed, once from getting out of my truck (I blame FI for this one), and now this time.

All of this doesn't include me wacking myself and getting bruises all over for no good reason.

Yes!!! I trip over things all the time. My mom always said when I was growing up that if someone was going to get hurt, it would be me. She would then tell me that if I didn't want to get hurt, then I could sit inside and do nothing, but that wouldn't be very much fun. haha Needless to say, I have plenty of scars.

Okay, so I don't know how I didn't think of this one before but it's definitely the worst one I've had. 7th grade, I was walking down the hallway, tripped over a backpack on the floor, hit my elbow on the floor and had a seizure.

Klutz, um yes! I often run into things (my spacial reasoning when walking is terrible!) However give me a crowd (airport, fairs, whatever) and I'm like speedy Gonzalez weaving in and out..odd I know right?!

I've run in to glass doors, tripped over my own feet, and apparently I can't hold a cup worth a darn because I spill something atleast daily it seems!! lol

I can't say that I've sprained my ankle coming out of church,  but it reminded me of one of my Klutzy moments.  When I was a teenager, I was the first one out of church on Sunday morning.  The sidewalk right outside was covered in ice and I didn't see it---I landed flat on my butt!  My noisy neighbor across the street from the church called my mom and told her about it before I could even walk around the  block to get home!  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-embarassed.gif" border="0" alt="Embarassed" title="Embarassed" />

I am a major klutz!  My knees where constantly skinned until I was about 10-12 years old!

No I am not a clutzy person. However, I have had moments.  I think the worst was when I was about nine. I fell like four times that week . All four times was on the same knee. My parents didn't know what was going on? My mom was so upset because I kept falling on the same knee. Then a year later, I was visiting my cousin. We were riding bikes down a hill and one of the tires had low air. I flew superman style off the bike an re-injured that knee.

I feel like doors, walls, chairs, desks and other furniture jump out of nowhere and hit me! Seriously, I must bang my arms and legs on things at least 10 times a day. I too have brusies that I can't explain but usually just assume I walked into something.

I don't have a worst moment, but there are pleanty of times when I've fallen on ice. Or walking down a hill. Somehow, I've never broken a bone though.

I twisted my ankle on a dog toy walking through my house - worst sprain ever. I am definitely the klutzy one :)

Some of my greatest hits: 11th grade: I was carrying a sheet cake to the faculty room and dropped it on myself while trying to open the door. Sophomore year of college: fell down the stairs while giving a campus tour which caused a sprained ankle. (our college was LEGENDARY for stair falls-we had a FB group called "Falling Down Stairs at Ithaca). Fell down the subway steps 4 years ago and really messed up my back. Sadly my thoughts as I was flying through the air were "please don't break your laptop" and "oh shiiit I don't have insurance."

<div>Totally me.  People must think I am abused with all the bruises/scars I have from bumping into things.</div><div>
</div><div>My worst was probably this past winter and I was walking through the mall on my lunch break and tripped over something (my own feet??) and face planted in the middle of everything.  Dunno where my arms were to catch me!!  My purse went flying and spewed everything all over the ground.  Worst part was, not one person stopped to help me or to even check to see if I was ok (and it was the middle of the Christmas rush!!)</div><div>
</div><div>Then I did it again 2 weeks later with a new pair of boots....slipped on some ice outside of costco and lost my entire load of groceries all over the parking lot!!</div>

I'm a huge klutz.  In my French classroom, there is cables on the floor that I have to cross in order to leave my desk to go to the board.  Even though they're covered by one of those flat protector things, I trip on it daily.

I was voted Biggest Klutz in my senior class yearbook so whether or not I consider myself to be one, I guess I am.

There are too many moments to count.. I'm constantly bumped and bruised. LOL

That about describes a typical day for me, along with the floor jumping up at me.

My awesome moments have resulted in a broken wrist, fingers, toes and my thumb then several sprained wrists and ankles but the worst was a torn ligament in my wrist.

My mom had to special order the light bulbs for her china cabinet so I went to pick them up when they came in.  I was walking back to my car from the store, carrying the bag of bulbs and I went down like I slipped on a sheet of ice (no, there was no ice).  I landed in such a way that I partially tore one of the ligaments in my wrist.  BUT I did not break a single bulb.  Replacing the bulbs would have been cheaper.

Months of casts later, I was finally healed.  My roommate asked me to help her move her bed.  As we were moving it, I tripped and landed in a pretty bad position, with the weight of the bed in the bad hand...I completely tore the ligament and they had to do surgery.

I probably would have qualified to be put in a bubble at one point.
