  I tipped $20, But I feel like maybe I shouldn't have.

  I completely forgot to tip at my trial (with someone else), and felt bad about it. I got over it in a day though. She'll get a big enough tip on the wedding day....

  I had two trials with Jill- the first was free, and I tipped $10, and the second was not free.  The first trial was when she still worked at the makeup counter in Nordstroms (I think that is where she was), and I felt like I took up her time so I definitely needed to tip.

  
  

  I believe there is an unwritten rule that you don't tip owners (i.e. salons, etc)... however it is whatever makes you comfortable.

  I'm going this week too to see Jill and was about to post the same exact question.  I have no idea what to do... someone once said that if it's at a person's house then you don't tip b/c you aren't taking time away from their selling time, but then if there is a fee that $$ is going into their pocket.
  
  Also, I realized that other MUAs charge $50 for the trial, then $150 for the day of.  Jill combines this into $200 for both.... so the tip on the day of sort of covers both?
  
  I'd feel bad not tipping at the trial though.

  I did not tip Jill the day of the trial. Maybe I should have? I use her for other things too. I did tip her the day of the wedding though!
