Re: Happy Tuesday

  • Mehg- you can always start making lists of things to pack.  That's what I do when I feel the urge to pack way in advance. :)

    I do this too.

Morning y'all.  I'm having a slow day at work so far. Yay.  I'm picking out houses to go look at this week :)
  • I have lists coming out my damn ears.

  • Good moooorning! I'm really milking my last week of sleeping in.  Every day this week I've slept until at least 11AM.

Raynes, your foot is looking much better! I'm glad you didn't break anything.  H did the same thing when he was in HS, and he ended up breaking a ton of bones in his foot - it was so bad that they put him in a full leg cast.  This was, of course, before I knew him, so I couldn't baby him the way I would now.

I'm in the middle of the name-change process over here.  I've gone through SS, my banks, my loan companies, etc.  I need to change my passport and my license, but after last week's DMV episode, I just can't bring myself to do it today.

    Have a wonderful Tuesday!

J&K, I'm squeeing at your ticker!

  • Good morning ladies!

FI and I are going to do some p90x this morning. It's finals week but I'm already done and FI just has a paper to turn in so we can do pretty much whatever we want today!

Mehg-agree with the lists! Or just pack early, I do it sometimes so I won't forget anything!

  • I just took the last final of my undergraduate career this morning. Yes! I am done. Graduation is this weekend. Now on to figuring out everything with the wedding and the move to Indiana. I get to go argue with the apartment complex today. Our lease expires on the 20th of June but we can't move into the new apartment in Indiana until June 29th. So hopefully I can get them to extend it for a few days. Since, apparently, they don't pro-rate your last months rent anyway. Is that normal?

It depends.  Did they pro-rate your first month's rent?  They may have your month running from the 21st to the 20th, and in that case, not pro-rating is the right thing to do.

<div>This.  What's your lease say? I used to work with off-campus housing (on the University side.)  I also lived in a few bigger apartment complexes that ran leases August 20, 2010-August 10, 2010. The first week of the lease and the last two weeks of the lease were combined into the first 'month' rent payment.  Yup, we just got screwed out of a week of rent... but that's what was in the lease.  </div><div>
</div><div>Check your lease, and talk to the landlord.  It never hurts to ask, but they make you pay an extra 1/3 rent (if they even allow you to stay.)</div>
  • Good morning. I planned on getting up a few hours ago. But, I was laying in bed and kept falling back asleep. Oops. My eyes are watering like crazy, so I'm guessing its allergies. It's driving me bonkers. This tree in the back yard exploded into bloom yesterday, and there is this cotton-y white crap flying everywhere.
