First of all this is NOT meant to be mean, rude, or judgmental.... that being said:
To those girls who are already married... why do you keep coming on The Knot? Do you just love reliving your day? Have post wedding blues? Is The Nest just not as exciting?
Once again, really just wondering, no offense meant. I do love reading these posts at work... and I know the few questions I have asked have not been popular, I am curious.
I hear there are wedding blues after its all said and done... and after planning for 2 years I am not sure I will miss it!

Has that happened to any of the ladies out there??
Happy Hump Day everyone!!
Re: oooooooooh i am gonna get it
Creatures of habit, I guess. That and fear of change.
I do not miss wedding planning one bit, though.
I don't think I have post-wedding blues, but then I took up a hobby toward the end of planning. I was relieved to have it over with.

2) Friendships are formed when you talk everyday. I think a lot of people hang around because they enjoy the camaraderie here!
I'm also a firm beliver that the advice of the already married ladies on this board is more valid than the planners. How can someone say what worked for their wedding if they haven't had it yet? If everyone left when they were married it would be a board of the blind leading the blind.

But in all seriousness I really enjoyed being on TK during the months I was planning my wedding and I enjoy talking with everyone about wedding and non-wedding related things. Now that I've been through it I also feel like I can give better advice to the girls who are currently planning their wedding.
Basically I think TK is fun and I don't want to go over to TN where I'm assuming they talk about more adultish stuff... I mean they have boards called Gardening and Landscaping, and Cleaning and Organizing... eek!

It's true. Cew is like the board's very own Miss Havisham. If she offers, don't eat the cake.
ETA: Gah, this ended up on some random E thread the first time it posted. Freaky.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

p.s. Seriously though, I do want you to plan another wedding, just so I could go.

I'll just have to plan a party and invite you

[QUOTE]This is a good thread, I've been mostly lurking on here for the past few weeks and have kinda gotten a feel for the 'regulars'. We are 38 days away from the wedding and I have to say I am so ready for it to be OVER and get to the HONEYMOON already! I intend to continue lurking...maybe I should change my name to "Lurker"...

Ditto that :^)
I don't think I even used the site to plan, beyond finding a cake baker recommendation on the Vegas board. Seriously.

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
hehe amelia...I've become quite the lurker too!
It's interesting though!
[QUOTE]Can we have a wedding-themed party? We can invite Cew and wear our wedding dresses.

This is such a great idea. Just think of all of the new stains I'll be able to add to my dress! I'm tired of the same old boring cheetos and champagne thing that I've got going on now.
