addressing

I am trying to send my save the dates, but the problem I am running into is what to include on my return address for international mail. I am sending about 30 invites to England. I am wondering if I can get away without putting a name for the return address and just the actual address. For example:

3453 Central Ave.
Los Vegas, NV 23043
United States of America

or do I have to put

Miss. So and So
3243 Ventura Ave.
Baltimore, MD 21439
United States of America

if I have to put a name I am wondering who's name to put on there since the people we are sending them to are all my fiance's relatives or family friends, but are returned adressed to my house...or do we put parents names? It's just getting confusing, I could use some help.

Re: addressing

  • You could do either, but I wouldn't worry that they may not recognize the name, once they open it they'll realize who you are. I'd just make it easy on yourself and do the return address the same on all your STDs.

  • its more a question of what the post office will take. Is it required to have a name when sending international mail for a return address?

  • When we send our stuff to the UK we are using our name and our address.

it just makes it easier for the post office. and you can use your names even though you aren't hosting(you made it sound like your parents are). no one else will think it's odd.

  • no problem. It made it easier for us because his relatives won't recognize my parents' names but they know his name.. so if you do the return address as

FI First name lastname & You Firstname lastname
    123 main st
    anytown usa, 12345

you should be all set. He has relatives that don't even know my name, so we thought it better to put his name on it as well.
