honeymoon New Orleans

We have to take a short honeymoon so we figured New Orleans, but i was wondering if anybody had any ideas of some fun stuff to do and good hotel to stay in?

    The W French Quarter is sooo romantic. It has a beautiful courtyard and pool, so it's nice to hang out there. And make sure to tell them you're on your honeymoon - they'll do something special for you. I'd suggest going to some nice restaurants, take a streetcar ride, go to Cafe du Monde for beignets, see some live music, go to Pat O's for a Hurricane, take pictures in front of St. Louis Cathedral...lots of fun and romantic things to do!! Have a great time!

    Walk along the riverfront and take the cruise on the Natchez steamboat.
    Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.

    Definitely second the steamboat Natchez cruise.  Either during the day or for dinner.  I know that the day cruise is 35 a person with the meal.  Not sure about the dinner.  Its about 2 hours long and really relaxing.   Live music and Cafe du Monde are definitely a must.  Have fun and hope you enjoy!

    I always tell people go get a hurricane at Pat O's and then walk down Bourbon St. just to see it...then for some good music and a more authentic NOLA vibe, go to Frenchman St!  There is almost always someone great playing at DBA for a small cover charge, and Spotted Cat and Apple Barrel are fun little hole-in-the-wall spots with live music and no cover...all three are on the same block on Frenchman St. along with about 20 other great bars.

    There is a thread on here with a ton of suggestions, maybe a month or so back....another person asking for honeymoon suggestions...if you can find that one, it has some great tips (in my totally biased opinion since I wrote on that thread) Tongue out

    My honey proposed in new orleans on the ferry! Not very romantic but it was special. My first time ever being in new orleans. I say go for it a honeymoon in NO would be so romantic!
