I purchased my dress over 6 month ago (my wedding is in less than 3 months). My wedding is 2500 miles away from me, in the town I grew up. My dress is also there.
I remember (and wrote down) when I bought my dress that if I purchase 1 1/4" heels, I will need no height alterations on my dress - perfect height! Also, my fiance is maybe 1/2" taller than me, and we don't want me to pass him up (him wearing dress shoes should help). Saving money is a better reason to stay low, as well as comfort anyway. When I bought the dress, I tried on shoes to confirm the heel size - I should have bought the darn red shoes!! Or written down the name/designer. I didn't. The sales woman commented they were over priced and quite honestly, I never thought it'd be so difficult to find this heel height!
I have found cute 1", 1 1/2" and 1 3/4" (and higher) heeled shoes. I haven't found 1 1/4" heels, even ugly ones (glad I haven't found ugly 1 1/4" heels - that'd get discouraging).
I have my first dress fitting coming up in a couple weeks, so I'm starting to run low on time to find my shoes. Being 2500 miles away from my dress, I obviously can't try on any shoes with the dress.
A) do you think 1/4" inch either way (i.e. purchasing 1" or 1 1/2" heels) would make a difference?
do you have an shoe websites you recommend?
