Should we attempt a morning thread?

My thoughts are with you Chels and jcb. Dmill, it can only go up from here. My girlfriend was released from the hospital on Saturday. She's been stabilized but since she has no insurance, it's adios. A friend/former coworker died this weekend of cancer. I told the Universe that I'm done with the bad news train. H miscalculated our bank balance so I had to run and get a cashiers check so that our Costco check wouldn't bounce. Joy.

That does make me feel better. I've been deliberately not telling the bride any of this because I don't want to bother her with it. She texted me a few days ago telling me I was welcome to come and stay the night at her and her FI's new house the night before the shower (they live about an hour away), and I felt really bad telling her that I probably couldn't. Just because it would be one extra thing, you know? I need to bake on Friday night to be ready Saturday morning. I feel bad. But ugh.

I had a great, albeit crazy, trip to KC & Omaha and am paying for it today. H took today off and I really wish I had as well. Oh well.

Same here. The only drawback is when I make a mistake, I feel like a total dumbshit and like everything is my fault, and it really stresses me out. It's rare that I make mistakes, but when I do, I feel awful.
