The pill is about the only form that will work for me

ring: see above
patch: see above
IUD: wanting to have children in the next 2-3 years
depo: draws from your calcium and mine is severly low

I'm on Yaz and I freaking HATE it!! I've never had problems with moods and this pill makes me absolutly crazy and incredibly angry, I've never felt rage until I changed to this pill. Will be changing it soon.

I have been on bc since I was 18 (total 8 years). I was on ortho tri cyclin lo for 5 years before I started to have issues. I was getting ovarian cysts that were not going away (one actually burst) so when they checked it via ultrasound I found out that it was no longer working in my system (basically I was lucky I hadnt gotten prego for the year I was having the issue). they move me to another bc, lo estrin 24 fe, that worked for about 6 months before I had another ovarian cyst form, so they just switched me about a month ago (higher low dose pill) so I dont know if its working or not yet...

If it were up to me I would get an IUD so I dont have to worry about it but I know FI wants kids soon so I cant get something that last 5 years if we will have kids in the next 2 years. But if this new pill doesnt do its job I will either go off bc altogether or opt for something else besides the pill.

Just a word of warning: if you do an iud, do a non-hormonal one that won't aggrevate ovarian cyst conditions. I've had several ovarian cysts (surgical removal 4+ times) and then went on Mirena. At the time, it wasn't known that it would exacerbate whatever existing condition that forms the cysts. But it did. Big time. Thankfully, in the full 5 years I had it in, only one needeed surgical removal. But I still had many that cropped up and were small enough to be painful without being "worth removing".

I was super busy yesterday. I missed this. I like the new TMI Friday QOTD. It's always fun and interesting! I am on the pill, and have been since I was 14. I use Tri Sprintec and I have never had any problems.
