• I think we might get HBO again for the summer. OR I'll wait until like August and then just catch up on all of this season.  I think they have the episodes from teh current season online too, right?  I miss True Blood, even though it's gotten... weird. lately.

I came into work this morning and was greeted by 10 emails and 6 voicemails.  I checked my email at 9 last night.  bah.

• Am I the only one that doesn't watch True Blood?  I don't even think we get HBO actually...

FI and I are addicted to Storage Wars!  Its the only show we watch consistently!
Yeah Steph, they have the current episodes online.  The only thing I don't really like about True Blood is the break in between seasons are so long and then I forget what  happened.
Posted by edielaura
I had to look up summaries of last season before last night because I couldn't for the life of me remember what happened. It all came back after I read the summary, but yeah they go way too long between seasons on HBO shows.

I don't watch true blood. In all honesty I can't stand the chick, I think alexander skarsgard looks weird like his head is way too small for his body, and that other dude had really weird looking hair to me.
• I don't watch True Blood, mbuckley.

Morning ladies! I woke up this morning to the realization that I can now say I'm getting married NEXT WEEKEND! Woah.

I'm also really feeling some job frustrations.  I've put applications out there but haven't gotten a single bite (which is weird cuz last spring I had a TON of interviews and I didn't have experience then).  Even the principal of the school attached to our church actually sent me a job opening about a month ago.  A couple weeks ago, she told me she'd be doing interviews last week and that she'd be calling me.  Nothing.  Blegh.  Plus J hasn't figure out what's going on with the school next year.  She is planning on staying open, but she can't tell anyone where jobs are until she figures out enrollment.  It could be worth toughing out another year though because we're planning on becoming a charter school with the public school system here, which would be AMAZING and a great job.  So another crappy year could be worth the investment.  Idk.  I told myself I wasn't going to worry about it until after the wedding, but here I am. Worrying about it.
• Yay for vacation duds! Where are you guys going?

• Just got a phone call from my doctors office and surgery (tonsillectomy) is a go for 7/12...aghhhh!

Guess I better get the paperwork I need so I can be off of work for the two weeks!
• There's nothing interesting going on over here today.  Gym, scanning/emailing textbook to classmate, meal plan, grocery store.  Yeah, I'm a blast.  I might go with my FI to dinner with a friend of ours, or let them talk law without me getting bored.
I'm paying the deposit for the photographer tomorrow, so that's awesome.  He's a good friend of my brother, and a fabulous photographer with his own studio.

• Oh, and I forgot to share this bit of news. H dragged me to a party on Saturday and towards the end, while he was chatting with a friend, I got sucked into a conversation with this super drunk couple who gave me a hundred reasons why I needed to be a ballerina. Including: I have long hair, I was standing with my ankles crossed (just a weird way I stand sometimes), and I have long fingers.

Every time I tried to get away the dude took me by the elbow and guided me back. I was so close to flipping my shiiit but luckily some other guy came lumbering in and said it was time for a hot pepper eating contest and they were distracted.

This is why I don't go to parties.
• morning!!!

aw Les- that happens to me from time to time- it's the worst!!

Normally I would have reacted with many, many cuss words but I'd never met these people (who I'm told are influential in the area), and the host was the GF of one of H's good friends so I was trying to be nice.

Oh, and another guy there started loudly complaining that another woman was letting this little kid (not even 2, andnot his kid) look at pics on her phone of guys (nothing dirty). He kept saying she was trying to turn the kid gay and needed to show him pics of women only. Then he implied that the kid would be a manly man, unless the mom had anything to do with it.

WTF. I hate people. The kid was playing with the phone. STFU and let him have fun.

I wish real estate wasn't so crazy in our area! In the areas convenient to our jobs with decent school systems, we are looking at CRAZY HIGH prices just to get in to a 3 bd, 2 bath (what we want). And these high priced homes... need work. It was fun looking but so scary because we are going to need a SERIOUS budget.

stupid TK.. ate my response.

anyways- I wish real estate in MA wasn't so high! To get in to the areas convenient to our jobs, with good school systems, we will need a ridiculous budget. And we will STILL probably need to put work in to the house. it's sickening.

• Morning! I had a great weekend, until about 9:15 last night and then our power went out for a few hours. I always sleep with a fan on so it was really difficult for me to fall asleep.

I liked True Blood last night. I had watched the last few episodes of last season recently so I would remember what was going on. Although, SPOILER I was seriously hoping that Tara would just be done. I don't think I am going to like that story line. Actually, I know I am not going to like it.

Sesh- Trying to have convos with drunk people is soooooo annoying. It is usually ok if you have been drinking the same amount, but just annoying usually.
• I'm tired even though I didn't do much this weekend.  One of the things I did do was to take a golf lesson.  I can now get the ball up off of the fairway after a tee shot.  Made me happy.

We spent a bunch of time yesterday watching the smoke from the fire north of us.  From about 2 houses down, and across the street, we could look across a field and see the starting point of the fire, then the plume of smoke.  It's CRAZY.  It started at 2 acres at 6am on Saturday, by Saturday night it was 6,000 acres.  By Sunday morning it was 12,000 acres and by Sunday night it was over 20,000.  Scary.  It's on par to become as big as the Hayman fire from 10 years ago that burned 138,000 acres.

Anyone that has rain, please send it up to Colorado.  Kthanksbye.

Wow- that is a huge drop in price. I would be annoyed too.  There is this house that I love about a mile from our apartment. I wish we wanted to buy now, but we just aren't even considering it at this point.

It actually looks like we got some rain this morning which is good cause it's been awhile.
