Outdoor wedding aisle

We're planning on having an outodoor wedding in a GORGEOUS space that I'm absolutely in love with. I was just thinking the other day, however, that how are we going to keep heels from sinking into the grass when walking down the aisle? I saw a "pin" that had bridesmaids standing on garden stones at the front, which is a great plan, but, do we just suck it up and walk on our tiptoes until we get to the front? I wouldn't much care if they wore flats, but the 10 in height difference for me and FI means that I should really be in heels. Anyone ever run into this problem??

Depending on the type of grass and how recently it's rained, you might not need it at all. I was in crazy spiky heels and didn't sink into the grass at all. It rained I think two days before the wedding? But was fairly dry for most of the week before.

Another vote for solemates. I also bought carpeted aisle runners, just because my "aisle" is very very long, and I didn't want to tippy toe that far, and we also have a goose poop issue. They were NOT cheap (as far as aisle runners go), but they have rubber backing (won't sink through or get caught like the fabric runners) and they can be staked into the ground.

I didn't want to have to wear flats or wedges, so this was an expense I was willing to pay.

This is the cheapest company that I found that makes them. I bought the "turf" runner in white. The carpet ones are nicer, but they are a lot more pricey.
