Highlawn Pavilion, West Orange. $139, 150 person min and it is wonderful there!!! Amazing food! All my vendors where excited and gave great reviews  on the place when I booked it.

Someone mentioned Twin Brooks - I had booked my wedding there first. It's cheap and you really get what you pay for. We decided to swtich after realizing how much we were spending on a 180 person wedding for nothing amazing and also because their Gen Manager sent me a nasty email 6 months before the date. I was lucky enough to find a new venue 6 months before our date. Our date was the only date available for the rest of this year at Highlawn.

[QUOTE]my best friend just got married at seasons and she paid $175 pp for 125 people BUT she was in the largest room and added everything on.  Her wedding was INSANE

My best friend got married there and paid the same price for a Sunday night... She had over 300 ppl too.  It was beyond insane.  If that's what you're looking for Seasons/Venetian will put on a wonderful show.

I am geting married on a Friday night @ the Newark Club, 130 ppl. full cocktail hour with extras, vienesse, 5 hour open bar, ceremony, etc. and I am paying $120 after tax and tip.  I had to haggle a little but they are SO accomodating... Also, I love that the party goes until 1am.

Meadow Wood Manor is on top of my list - I've worked at the manor and Highland ...good food but not as updated as others. I think we've checked all of the above mentioned places and decided on Meadow Wood- it's pretty new, I would say 7 years so it has that new, updated, classy feeling without the smells and stuff (like a LOT of country clubs would). Also, there only offer 1 wedding at the time so it's special..you don't run into 5 other brides as you would in many of those places. Good luck with whatever you decide! Congrats!

i booked the rockleigh. it starts at around 140 pp for a fri 195 for a sat.  we are having 150 people. i didnt even want to look there, but loved it. yo ucan walk right outside from the cocktail room to a court with a fountain. they can have 2 events at the same time, but everything is very seperate and they never have cocktail hours starting at the same time.  since we are doing a fri they did not make us guarantee a number of people. we also looked at season and for the big room you need to guarantee 175 for the small 125. seasons is beautiful but we liked the big room and not the small room. the smaller room is upstairs and you dont have access outside. i think for a fri the big room was 125? small 110? i could be wrong. also i know you are looing for northern nj, but the view in piermont, ny is literally on the border and its on the hudson. its $95 pp. also in old tappan there is the old tappan manor, which is around the same price as the view in piermont. there is also the colonial inn in norwood, nj. i dont know their prices tho. the venetian in garfilend is also beautiful and they also own seasons, however, when i called there they wanted around 200 people for a friday night. my friend is getting married at the madison hotel in morristown, which is also beautiful. hope this helps!

Quick heads up: Seasons doesnt offer "packages" but rather offer everything and then you can add on vienese and also a seafood extravaganza. Each cost an additonal $15 a head but if you get both, they will usually only upcharge you $15 instead of $30. They quoted me a Sat. In March with both add ons for upstairs and 125 min for $170 tax & gratuity included. Hope this helps!!!
