People are actually buying stuff off our registry!!

So far we've got a vase, a $40 ice bucket LOL, crockpot and the $300 Kitchaid stand mixer. OMG! How exciting!

I really wasn't excited about the whole registry thing but I guess it is kind of fun to get stuff that you want but would have never bought for yourself.

I am not excited about our registry either. I really hope people go in on the dyson and mixer though. I really want those!

I know FILs were going to try and get some family to go in on the dyson for us.

Thinkings are being purchased off our registry too!! I don't even have a reason to be stalking because my shower isn't for 2 months, but yesterdays thread had me checking. It's exciting but so weird because now I know! I don't want to know. But no matter what I'll have some idea because I registered for it!

I'm sure people will go off registry too, which is exciting too.

Have you read the reviews or owned a Dyson? I will never buy a Dyson because they're all plastic and break VERY easily. I was at Target and the ball was cracked on the stand.

It's reassuring because as we were registering we just kept thinking "OMG are we registering for too much? no one is going to buy us these things because they're so expensive!". We are having two showers though and a lot of people in my family go in on things together so I guess it will probably work out!

Fawn--I tried to convince FI to register for a Dyson. It didn't work

We have a lot of stuff on ours too becaue we're just starting out. We live together but just got what we needed since most all of it would be replaced with wedding gifts. I'm having 2 showers then the wedding so I think we'll get most of it

My Mom didn't want us to have crazy expensive things on our registry. I put the kitchenaid on the registry so she could buy it and we could get the completion bonus.

People have just asked us, or the Moms. One of our friends is obsessed with our registry. She wants to tell me so bad what she wants to get me. It's so funny. I can't wait til she gets engaged (only a matter of time, it seems) so I can see her registry since we have the same taste.

My parents, aunts and uncles, and grandma all have Dyson Animal vacuums and love them. FIs parents have had the ball one for over 5 years and it works great still. I've noticed that people that tend to write reviews are angry, so I don't believe them all the time.

I love Orecks. My mom has one and my uncle has one and he's like my go to guy for product reviews lol. He said Dysons are horrible and he love his Oreck. Right now FI and I have a Hoover I believe and it actually works really well too.

Our moms and immediate family know. I'm sure they are telling people if they are asked. It's on our website now too. I don't know if this is an etiquette no-no or not but we'll be putting the little "the couple is registered at wherever" cards when the shower invites go out (that's how we do it where I'm from).

<div>Everyone I know that has a Dyson absolutely loves it. The ball works great and they don't break easy at all. My parents have had one for years and have had no problem with theirs. Several friends and neighbors have had no issues either. They really are great vacuums. </div>

Uhhhh, registering has been looming over my head for months. I wanted to do it (or at least one of them) before Christmas, but FI didn't see the point. Now we need to start it, or at least start thinking of things we want, and he's just like, Mehhh! He was super excited about registering back in like May, and now he's not...frustrating!

Oh man that makes me wanna get DRUNK! FI and I were very tempted to register for our future bar in our future home that we don't have yet. That seemed a bit far out but we did get nice bar/wine glasses and some artwork that would go good in the eventual the bar area :)
