Sunday Evening

Re: Sunday Evening

  • Mmm, LOVE grilled cheese dipped into tomato soup. This sounds delicious right about now. My dad's birthday dinner was at 5:30 and I'm not used to eating until 8 or so. Needless to say, it's 10:30 here and I'm already hungry again. :-/ Fail.

It really bothers me when people say, "You welcome" instead of "you're welcome." I don't know why, but it drives me nuts.

  • Hey hookers, go help me with dinner ideas in my post. Hmpf.

I have far too many grammar pet peeves, but the one that bugs me the most because nearly everyone does it is when people said "must of" or "should of" or "could of", etc.

It's must HAVE. Should HAVE. Could HAVE. "Must of" doesn't even make sense.

[QUOTE]Haha I don't think I like this AStar thing. How about she's ASong and I'm just Angel? ;) I like cheese sometimes, like on pizza, but that's really about it.

Haha, I don't care too much about what people call me on here, so I'm good with whatever. Angelsong, AS, ASong, Song... they all work for me.

  • I'm back! My sandwich is delicious.

Aren't you jealous? I pinky swear it isn't burned, it's just the lighting since I'm eating by the ambiance of my laptop light.

That one is annoying. At the very least, it's "could've" or "should've" etc.

Yeah, it bothers me much more in its written form than out loud, as everything just kind of blends when you say it quickly.

I certainly hope you guys see the error. If not, we are no longer friends, and happy hour will no longer be from 4-6.
  • Well, clearly, she is flying because she is still on a high after finally getting her split. I don't understand the issue.

Yes, I know I am, however I cross-my-heart that I've been eating grilled cheese sandwiches with bread & butter pickles since I was kid. It's one of my comfort meals. :)

When I posted the picture, I anticipated someone
  • What, you don't get soar when you fall down?

Haha. Or sore. Whichever. I like "every since" as well.

UMMMM, WTF. That just submitted on its own.

I was going to say, that I anticipated someone pointing out that I'm the typical pregnant person.

I actually didn't catch that, because my eyes jumped to "soar" and I was amused since that is exactly the kind of thing we're talking about now. :)

  • Now I want grilled cheese. Gah.

That would negate my hour of cardio. To make my date with the elliptical bearable, I started Sesh's book. Liking it so far!

Grammar errors and weird pronunciations make me crazy. 'Liberry' and 'warsh' are particularly cringe-worthy. THERE IS NO 'R' IN WASH!

  • I'll accept your explanation as fact since I don't know any better. :)

Well, I'm going to head for bed. I'm sleepy.

I teach high school, and when a student says, "liberry" I always say, "Where?" or, "the what?"

And they'll repeat it again a couple of times, and sometimes, they catch on.

More than once, I've had a student tell me they know they say it wrong, but they don't care.

My response is, "So you're trying to sound ignorant? What a great choice."
  • I need to go to bed, but Box Kitty just climbed into my lap to cuddle. GAH CAT WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DO THIS WHEN I NEED TO GET UP?!

This is why they get the response I give when they say that. I just can't bite my tongue.

You'd be frightened at how often students accept the wrong way because they don't feel like it.

    It drives me nuts.
