Mornin!

How is everyone?

Today I have to do that mad lib thing at work. Im not sure how well it will be received but I know it will be better than forcing people to fake laugh for 30 seconds. Other than that, im in a great mood. A smallish band ive liked for YEARS just got added to that big concert festival im going to in August and it makes me even more pumped for it!
Have a good day :)

Re: Mornin!

• We have to leave in 30 minutes to go to one of our satellite locations, which is ok because I want to meet the people that work there, but that means lots of traveling today. Balls.
• Nebb- good luck with the mad libs.  I'm sure they'll be a hit.

As long as today is better than yesterday, I will have no complaints.  Plus, we are at exactly one month until the wedding so that is a fun milestone.

• Morning!

Last night, H and I discovered a really cool pirate bar right on the water. It's one of those places that you think might have crappy food because it's a dive bar type of place, but their food was really top notch, very diverse. They had specialties from all around the world, i.e. Cape Verde, the Carribbean, South Africa, etc. We had a great time.

My night was almost ruined because when we returned home, we cracked open a bottle of red wine and settled in to watch some tv. Yeah, the glass I was drinking out of must have had a spider in it when H poured my glass (I was in the living room where it was dark since I was watching a movie, so I couldn't see it when he handed it to me). I gagged. I hate spiders.

Good Morning ladies!

Nebb I hope your mad libs go over well! It sounds fun.

Mehg that's awful. I don't like spiders either and I would freak!
• Just hearing that story made me gag.

Morning. I have absolutely nothing interesting to add.

• Oh Megh that's making me feel all crawly.  Ewww. I hateeee spiders with a passion.

Nebb, those mad libs sound fun!

I'm looking forward to a half day today.  I've been training for my summer job all week and we're ahead of schedule.  Tonight FI and I are celebrating our annversary.  It's not until tomorrow, but FBIL and his wife are coming to visit this weekend, so we're clebrating tonight.
• Good morning!
It's rainy, hazy, and gross here, I forgot my rings at home, I am (TMI) spotting for no reason, and my H got boozed up last night and snored all night. Surprisingly, I'm in a pretty good mood-last day of work this week so I can whoop it up as a bridesmaid this weekend.
OMG, Mehg, gross. I pretend I don't mind spiders but some of them are just so gross and creepy.

• Morning all! I feel like I haven't been online in forever! Between the new lab and moving I've been really busy. The new place is awesome and the deck is HUGE. FI brought home some flowers, tomatoes, and some pepper plants so I'm excited about that :. I had my fitting this past weekend and I got to listen to everyone make fun of the fact that I have the chest of a two year old... That was really fun.
• Morning!  I'm on call for work, and got a phone call at 11:30 last night (after I was sleeping.)  Why? Because the person that should have taken that call said they didn't have time to deal with it, so the staff called me. WTF.  So I'm trying to figure out how to professionally tattle on someone. bah.

Anywho.  Dive bars seem to always have the best food, imo.  I love trying random restaurants/bars like that.
• Morning, all.  It's been forever and a day since I've been able to post in a morning thread. I miss you guys. :)

I also have absolutely nothing new to add. Though, it's a 3-day weekend for me again this week, so I'm pretty pleased with that. I don't know why short weeks always feel so much longer than a regular one. I'm definitely ready to have a few days off.
• In Response to Re:Mornin!:
Jenna I feel so naked without my rings. So random tidbit: I mentioned a house we were looking at hypothetically.nbsp; H's ex lives in that neighborhood and she said the reason it's been on the market for so long and the reason for the big price drop is apparently it smells like cat pee in the house. So we won't be looking into that house any further. Posted by edielaura
Well, that's gross. I wonder what the smell is from?
• Good call on the cat piss house Edie. Morning all.

• Lbarr, have you ever figured out what was going on with your stomach?

I've been having so many issues lately. I'm such a hypochondriac (sp?) though so I'm waiting it out a bit before I tell a Dr, see if I can pinpoint foods or something that is causing my problems.

• Morning!

This is probably a P&R as I am about to head out to go sign my work contract, then stop by to visit a friend.  And then maybe clothes shopping for work clothes because I start work on Monday!!! I am so excited, I've been unemployed for almost exactly 1 year so this is a welcome change.  But I'm nervous, too.

Have a great day all!

I'm too indecisive to buy a house right now. I want an old victorian but I also want something ultra modern and I want something in the country but specifically near a cute little village and I'd also like a barn.

I wish! I saw the GI specialist and all my bloodwork was normal, even the celiac's test was negative. I was supposed to get a CT scan of my abdomen yesterday but my insurance doesn't kick in until next month so I had to postpone it. He gave me some meds for when it gets really bad but they make me a little nauseous and dizzy.

I have been writing a food diary for awhile but stopped because I couldn't find anything that noticeable. With that said, I have noticed that alcohol of any kind will lead to horrible belly issues the next day. I've also noticed issues with dairy cheese in particular and just overall stress. After my leftover alfredo lunch lol I'm going to try cutting out cheese, since taking Lactaid makes me feel worse.

Also, I apologize if this is a wall of text. TK mobile sucks.

STEPH!!! Adam just texted me, the package arrived just after I left for work so I have something to look forward to when I get home!!!
• I'm kinda the same way Nebb. I want a newer house but I also want a huge ass older house with crown molding, hardwood floors, French doors to the porch and a claw foot tub.

• It's called The Pirate Republic (<-----clicky). It was so awesome, I wanted to eat everything. My H had a kobe beef burger w/special Brazilian cheese, bacon, arugula, beefsteak tomato, pickles, and a fried egg on top. It was kind of expensive ($18) but I spent way more than that on a kobe beef burger at Burger Bar in San Francisco, so it seemed reasonable to me. And it was damn tasty. I had ordered the seafood cioppino, which was equally tasty, but I think I was in seafood-overload since I had the clams & mussels in white wine sauce for an appetizer.

The band is cursive.
• Holy smokes, dj - it IS a squash. It's hard to believe!

I'm feeling great, actually...aside from some rib pain, I almost don't feel pregnant. I had some scary contractions last week, though, but the doctor said I was dehydrated from a cold I was fighting and that's what caused it.

PREGNANT PEOPLE -  DRINK LOTS OF WATER.

Nebb - H, and I are feeling the same way. We almost want to buy a farmhouse and then try to figure out how to make it ultra modern inside while still using some vintage pieces. We're failing miserably with our vision.
• Morning!!

Trying to get some invitation things settled before I head to bed.  Also, just realized that we are exactly 4 months away from our wedding day :-)
• Boo, Lbarr. I hope you can feel better.

And Mehg, that burger you described is making my mouth water. YUM.

• LP, in case I'm not on again for awhile, good luck next week! I'm sure everything will go great. Hopefully you have better luck work clothes shopping than I always do, lol.

Morning everyone!

Lbarr- I don't know the background on whats going on with you but what you posted today sounds similar to my issues! I am really sensitive to SO many foods- I can't even anticipate what will make me sick anymore. The diagnosis I got was IBS with visceral hypersensitivity. The way the doctor explained it is that my digestive tract has a lower threshold to stimuli so items that would slightly bother a normal person REALLY bother me. So far I've only done a daily antiacid to combat it. He suggested other medications but I was really wary of the side effects.

Interesting. My PCP prescribed Nexium because she thought it was acid reflux. I didn't really take it because my symptoms appear to be mainly lower GI. I hear you on how everything seems to bother you. Its awful. Sometimes I can eat bland as can be but still have issues. Oh well, I'm sure it will get figured out sooner or later.
