So after the posts about days off before the wedding and for the HM it got me thinking about getting my request in. My boss seems to think my life should revolve around my job and news flash, it doesn't.

So today I put in my request for the two days before the wedding 3/8 & 3/9 as well as the HM! So glad to have that off my back and done!

Also FI got his on-call schedule for next year and I was relieved to hear he wasn't on there at all for the month of March, which makes life easier!

    That's awesome! I am also thinking of taking the two days before the wedding off. Sadly, FI is a teacher so he has to stay and fly in on March 9th for the wedding (little bummed that we can't go up earlier). It is always easier to have that time free and clear, then you can make sure your little things go smoothly :) Getting close!

    We are both taking the week before and after off for our wedding. We both have about 3 weeks off total for work vacation so we will still have some other time off. I'm also going to ask my boss if I take take one of those weeks without pay .

    Ugh, yea I just had the difficult talk today with my boss about needing to take days off. Fortunately I was just making it a bigger deal in my head because he was totally cool with it. :)

    I wish this was an easier conversation with my boss!!  In November, it was announced that we would be required to take five vacation days during December... so that would leave me with 6 days to use in April.  We booked our trip to Hawaii anyway and we'll have to find a way to make it work........ Unfortunately it'll mean I'll be going most of the summer without many vacation days!!  But luckily I had already taken off the Fri before and Mon after the wedding, knowing they were "must haves" for days off.
