Yeah Eagles as soon as the wedding questions stop it turns to baby questions. Usually enough smartass responses gets it to stop though. My go to was 'when H and I are in the same country long enough to make one."
Eagles we just wanted something different. We had been in TX so long and our lives were feeling pretty stagnent so we just said what the hell let's move. And it is gorgeous here, I think we made the right choice. Were incredibly broke, but were here, and we have mountains all around, so I think we'll be happy!
I remember when I was lurking a long time ago, Jasmod started a thread with funny resposes to when are you having kids, my favorite was "H used to be a woman, so we can't have kids"
Another good one was "Well we were going to and then we found out how babies are made. We don't have THAT kind of marriage"
Ray, I think that's awesome that you moved across states just because! When I had a realization that after college I could move anywhere I ventured a whopping 90 minutes away.
I like the smartarse responses to baby questions. Seriously hated that when we first got married. And then you have a couple of kids and people start asking,'Are you done now?'
WTF? I always wanted to scream at them. Or punch them in the face.
I have spent the whole afternoon reading Edie's great aunt's book, 'Hope is the Last to Die.' It is amazing, horrific, incredible, inspiring and quite emotionally exhausting. Highly recommend it.
I never really thought I would leave my hometown. Then met H and have moved cross country twice in a year and a half. Hopefully we're here for at least a few years now.
I personally don't really mind the question...but it is when it comes from completely random people I get caught off guard. My SIL's Step-father asked me not long ago...dude we haven't really said more than "hey how is it going" in the past 4 or so years I have known you. Don't ask me about when I plan on banging my H sans birth control.

<div>That's kind of funny because I moved back to the area I grew up. It's a big city and I am basically only meeting up with old HS friends right now. In the college town I've been in for the past 5 years though I was always worried about running into someone I didn't want to talk to, so yea, not worrying about that is nice. </div>

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
I'm making dinner right now and watching Old School on TV. Dinner smells awesome and I can't wait for it to be done.
Today I've mostly been reading, well and cooking. Somehow I managed to cook for all 3 meals, that's something that hasn't been done in longer than I can remember.

Evening ladies! I think I broke the washing machine this afternoon. I got one load done and the second one got unbalanced at the beginning of the spin cycle. The towels were still way too wet to throw in the dryer so I attempted to re-balance it to no avail, so I rewound it a bit so that it would run the final rinse again. About 10 minutes after I came back upstairs I smelled the equivalent of burnt popcorn so I rushed back to the basement and turned it off. I moved everything to the dryer and made about 20 trips upstairs emptying it out.
My friend I'm staying with is actually supposed to be getting a new one from her mom's house in the next week or so which means that the likelihood of me having to repair it is slim, but it's a pain nonetheless.
Hi everyone! I just painted my nails on one hand, and I'm trying to decide if I want to do the other. They're neon pink, and while I love them, the formula was kinda shiiitty.
I'm going to start making enchiladas soon. And, we're getting a new microwave on Tuesday! I can BAKE in it, I'm so excited. But I need to clean the cabinets so the installer guy doesn't think its gross. The ones above the stove get greasy. Ew.
I'm back. I was reading a book about sisters who survived the holocaust during my first trimester (not that one) and I read some before bedtime and then had crazy holocaust dreams that night. I need to stick to calmer reading while pregnant I think.

At least the lawn is cut, but the weed eating will have to wait until tomorrow.
I'm so sick of this rain...even my monkey grass is dying. The hated box hedges and holly bushes aren't... naturally.
I'm watching reruns from last season's Bridezillas...Jeanine, that train wreck, is on. I can't wait for my fried chicken with mashed potatoes and country gravy dinner.
