Happy Mardi Gras!

Re: Happy Mardi Gras!

• I agree Bay. I figured if FI can still tell me how pretty I look after seeing me when I have literally just woken up in the am, he can live with my lounging in yoga pants after work if I've had a rough day.
In Response to Re: Happy Mardi Gras! : I love those articles in women's magazines that are all "Don't wear pjs or yoga pants around your husband at home, he'll think you don't care enough about your appearance."  My H comes home from work, changes out of his uniform, and puts on PJ pants.  Saves on laundry.  I asked him once if he thought my wearing yoga pants when I get home from work was evident of my not caring about how I look in front of him.  He gave me a look like I was crazy and said, "I think you look comfortable.  Wear what you want."  The magazines lie.
Posted by baystateapple
<div>Yeah, eff that idea.  If H was the type of guy who didn't want to see me in sweats or PJ's, he wouldn't be my H.  If I can't be comfortable in my own home then something is wrong.</div>

• My H likes how I look in yoga pants. And he prefers me braless. Shows what the magazines know.
• Happy Mardi Gras Morning! My office brought in King Cake. Yum!

• Totally agree Bay.  I live for my comfy clothes and no bra when I'm at home, I feel so much more comfortable.
• H likes me in comfy clothes. Less clothes to remove. Wink
So, I saw the new Twilight movie last night (Breaking Dawn Part 1). Holy special effects, Batman. They made Kristin Steward look like a legitimate Holocaust victim. H watched it with me and was so skeeved out at the end it was hilarious. "Wait! Is he getting the baby out with this teeth!? Is that guy now in love with the baby!? Is she drinking blood in a sippy cup!?" haha.
Posted by cfaszews25
hahahaha I watched that this weekend.  My thoughts:  the special effects were awesome, I loved seeing them actually happy and playful on the honeymoon, the talking wolves made me almost fall off the couch laughing HELLOOO 1980's cartoon, and that was one scary ass looking baby.

And Nola - I wouldn't want this job even if I were qualified for it.

Hahaha.  Make sense.

Yoga pants show off butts and legs.  I think most guys like the way they look.

• Morning ladies,

I want to be on winter break skiing too!  I must admit it was fun taking time off with the kids when they were younger.  Their spring break for college isn't until March and both of them have informed me they are working through it for extra cash.

We had a blast snowmobiling in NY this weekend.  Yesterday the sky was so blue, and the snow so white, it was beautiful!  Now back at work for 3 1/2 days.  This work is really getting in the way of my playing hookie.

• The only thing I take off when I get home is my shoes. I'm even too lazy to change into anything else that's more comfortable.

hahahaha this is my H.  Our living room is usually littered with his pants because he just comes home, takes them off and sits down on the couch.  It's maddening.

I mean, I know they mention her being advanced and growing quickly, but my God.

Also, your sig reminded me that I don't think Edward sparkled once on their beachy sunshine filled honeymoon.  But maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

I stalked my registry too.  I couldn't help it.

• I'm already a registry stalker and only 3 things are off of it. All of which, we got for Christmas. I still check it almost daily.
• Good morning! I have a slight rage after driving in the post-snow traffic this morning. People were actually fine driving and the roads were good, but damn if I didn't want to hurt everyone who didn't brush off their cars. I lived in perpetual fear that a huge chunk of frozen snow was going to kill me through my windshield. I hate people.

• Good lord.  One of my friends got engaged this past weekend and she asked for "advice" on her FB page, and one of her friends jokingly suggested "Open Bar".

Another friend of hers that I don't know actually posted "And you will pay for that?  A donation would be great, or a very large wedding gift."  God I hate people sometimes.

• I also registry stalked like at least twice a week. It still was fun opening gifts because I didn't know who got what.

• FI & I have 2 registries set up so far (we're going to register at REI soon, already done at BBB & Crate and Barrel) and mom said "I hope you registered for enough stuff!" And I laughed thinking 'If everyone buys all the crap off our lists we'll be in it to our eyeballs'

I'd rather just have all of our friends & family at our wedding than presents, but that's just me.

Haha apparently we are in the hate people mode today, bay. Also? I would feel weird about asking for advice via FB about weddings. I just have no idea what kind of responses I would get and that would make me nervous, haha.

• I recently registry stalked my ex, and their registry is kind of weird.  They have a $600 Dyson and an Xbox kinect package, but then super crappy kitchen utensils.  Now is the time to ask for nicer things, people.

• JWed, we got a majority of the big items off of our registry, so when we were going to look for what to use our gift cards for after the wedding, we felt funny buying all the little random shiit (like ladles and stuff). So instead we splurged on a set of All Clad Cookware. hehe.
image
• MuSu, she was mainly asking for advice on what to do for dress shopping, where to register, etc.  I'll admit that the "open bar" comment was unwarranted, but this person is a joker and I'm pretty sure the bride knew that it was a joke.

The person who left the other comment then went on to say that it was "C and D's day" and we should all be willing to give up "creature comforts" for their sake.  Holy shiit, lecture much?  I don't understand why people get this way whenever a wedding is discussed.  I didn't add my two cents, but I did leave her a comment about where I bought my dress, where H and I registered, and advised her to make a budget before doing anything else and sticking to it.

Although last I heard this bride is planning on having a potluck reception in her backyard.  So there's that.

• So scratch the "only three things are gone from our registry" comment. Two more things just came off. Glassware and a monogrammed wine stopper. :)
• potluck receptions. I just... I can't.

• I am looking forward to getting some of the kitchen items we registered for; I love cooking & baking and some of the fun stuff at REI we're thinking of registering for.

I just hate the implication that FI & I need to register for 'enough stuff'. Because you know, wedding gifts are a requirement... scarcasm font needs to be created.

I was thinking the same thing. The words that people come up with to describe things sometimes.
