Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center?

Hi all,
I found the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center's website, but other than a couple of pictures of the banquet hall I have found nothing! No reviews, experiences, or pictures. Has anyone had any experiences with them? From the one picture I saw it seemed pretty...
Also, I am also considering the Edgewood Club (not country club) and using Strictly Business Catering. Any thoughts? Thanks girls!

I remember seeing the Masonic Center's website and having it on our list initially but it didn't make the cut to check out. No particular reason, there were just other places that sparked our interest more.

We did check out the Edgewood Club.  It's certainly a very unique, blank canvas space, but it was small and there is no air conditioning, so that could potentially be problematic depending on the timeframe you're looking at.  Parking is also a problem.  It is all street parking in a small street residential neighborhood.  The club recommends valet parking to ease the hassle for your guests.  If you end up seriously considering Edgewood, I would be sure that you write your guest list first.  FI and I had an idea of how many we wanted (100), but it's a good thing we didn't choose that location because we ended up going up to 160 and painstakingly cutting it down to 130.  I seriously don't know that we could get it lower if we wanted and this would have been way too many people to either fit or fit comfortably (I can't remember their max #).

I hope this helps!  Good luck with your search!

I'm using Edgewood Club and SBC, and so far I've been really happy with both choices.  Edgewood Club is in a residential neighborhood, but my friend lives a couple of houses down, and I have never had trouble parking in that neighborhood, so even if you don't go with a valet, your guests really won't be walking any farther than if they were walking from a parking lot.

It isn't air condtioned, so they don't do weddings in the summer, so that might be an issue.  Ours is late Sept, and we will hopefully be using the patio outdoors as the bar.

Clint at SBC has been great too.  He's been really flexible with our schedule, and I love his food and the variety of options he provides.  He's bringing a grill so we can have grilled chicken onsite.  We're doing family style serving, which totally fits our personalities and the feel of our wedding.  I am a little concerned about how small it is, but that is my biggest fear about having our reception there.  PM me if you have any more questions.

I've been to a casual dinner at the Greater Pgh Masonic Center.  It is very nice inside.  I loved the windows on the one wall that also leads on the patio.  It was one of two choices that I wanted to have our reception but we fell in love with our first choice that we didn't look further into the center.
