Venues near Rochester/W.Bloomfield/Novi, etc

Hi everyone!

I am not from the Detroit area, but my fiance is, so I am looking for unique & fun venue suggestions. We are having a shorter engagement (summer 2012), so I need to book everything over Christmas while we are home for the holidays. I already have information on La Sala, Medowbrook Hall, & the Royal Park Hotel (but would appreciate feedback). The church is in Rochester, so I am looking for something within a reasonable driving distance.

    Hi! Welcome to the board :) If you like the Rochester area, also take a look at The Wyndgate Country Club - that's where we had our reception. We also looked at Meadowbrook and The Royal Park.

    Royal Park hotel is beautiful and reasonably priced for the venue. I also love Meadowbrook hall and I think it is more unique.

    I recently went a reception at Royal Park. It was gorgeous..Im not sure the price of it but it didn't look reasonably lol

    We used both the church and the hall at Oak Arbor Church in Rochester --- it has BIG windows which I loved and would be great for the summer. PM me with questions.

    We're using the Palazzo Grande in Shelby Township, but our wedding is at Oak Arbor in Rochester- so the distance isn't bad at all!! Palazzo is beautiful!

     I went to a wedding at Royal Park in July 2008.  It was gorgeous - atrium was to die for.  The food was delicious. 

    I looked into it when I got engaged in June.  It was running about $100 pp with premium open bar.

    I was looking for more in the $60-70 range. My fiance and I are paying for the majority of this, so we are trying to keep a smaller budget. We would also do a Friday wedding at a more expensive place if we were able to get a reasonable price.
