Vineyard Weddings

Wedding Colors?!?!

Ladies,

What are you wedding colors and how are you incorporating a wine-inspired theme?

Mine are lavendar, chocolate brown, and ivory.
Our invitations will have a grape motif.
We will also be taking a winery tour after our rehearsal on Saturday, as we will be getting married on Sunday at 5p, so plenty of time to enjoy the wine then ending the tour at a restaurant and winery in our town where we will be married and near the hotel, so we can get a good night's rest and get ready for the bridal party fun in the salon the next day!
We are also naming the tables after wineries we have visited together.

What are your ideas? Can't wait to hear about them!

Re: Wedding Colors?!?!

  • LOVE your colors/ideas.

My colors are grape, lavendar and gold.

My shower was wined themed as well. The invites were GORGEOUS! They were in the shape of a wine bottle (the Lable being the info for the party) and the return lable and address label were the same wine  bottel (scanned in). The centerpeices were clear wine bottles with purple flowers and greenery and a cutom made lables.  The favors I found wine themed mini notebooks at our local Michaels Craft store on sale and a pen with a wedding  cake on top, wrapped in in a pretty bag with a big bow.

I am making my invites right now-has a grape/vine motif. I love it!! Still working on centerpeices...ideas very welcomed!

Part of bridesmaids gifts are gorgeous crystal white wine glasses with gold and purple beads on the stem and a bottle of my favoirte white wine.  I covered the labe with my monogram from the wedding and on the back label I found this cute thank you bridesmaid poem on the back.

My favors are MY FAVORITE PART!  They are merlot mini bottles of wine (our favorite) and I am making custom labels on my computer to put on them with our monogram and a big purple ribbon and a wien charm on around the cap! I wish I could show a picture I think they look great!!

As far as other thank yous...I have wine stoppers I found on ebay for people who are doing readings etc. with these cute thank you notes attached to them.

I have had SO much fun with this wine theme! I woudl LOVE to hear other ideas!!

(I can't figure out how to add pictures or I would attach)

  • My colors are burgundy, burnt orange (flowers only), brown and ivory.  The invitations have grapevines on them, as will the placecards and the monogram.  I'm still stumped on favors and gifts.

Stacee114 - I love your favors.  My wedding will be at a winery, but their mini wine bottles are expensive and I'm concerned about the fact there will be a lot of kids at the wedding (but I guess I could get them a different favor).  I was also thinking about getting wine openers and putting our names and wedding date on them.  Still not sure.
I saw some cute centerpiece ideas incorprating grapes.  I think my favorite has been candlabras that go in wine bottles.  http://www.napacabs.com/Wine-Bottle-Candelabra-Scroll-P2048.aspx I saw a photo of someone who used that and had flowers around the bottom.  It was very elegant.
  • Here is a link to some great FREE wine bottle labels...you can personalize them and adjust the sizing of them to make them fit mini-wine bottles.

    Hope this helps!
  • we are getting married at a winery. it is beautiful and more laid back i think. Your guests can have a drink taste the wine and hopefully continue going back. Our colors are Chocolate brown Champagne and aubergine (deep deep plum). Our favors however i am thinking of doing carmel apples or candy apples since the ceremony and reception are at too different places. any thoughts to this

@beldts08, I would like to be a guest at your wedding becase the caramel apple favors sound awesome!

Our colors are navy blue, fuchsia, and pewter (not really vineyardy but I like the color combo, so I went with it).  We are taking a somewhat subtle approach in incorporating our wine theme in our decor and wedding stationary.

-Our Save the Dates were in the shape of a wine glass (pic in bio)
-Our monogram (which we will use on the cocktail napkins, guest towels, stickers on favors, and cocktail stirrers) have a wine glass in them (pic in bio)
-The cocktail table centerpieces will be wine glasses filled with floating candles and rose petals
-Table names will be named after local vineyards and I will make cork stands for them
-Engagement pictures taken at a vineyard
    -Favors are wine toppers
-Part of the BM gifts are mini wine bottles (I'll probably make my own labels too), wine charms, and probably the same wine theme notebook from Michael's that
Stace14 is using as favors :)
  • Ours are Chocolate brown, champagne, and burgundy.
Our wedding is at a church, reception at the winery. It's a very rustic, earthy winery, and our wedding is October in upstate NY... should be very autumn-like.

  • We are using Ivory, tan, and a dark red. Our area is very rustic so we are playing up textures a bit and trying to use a red grape theme. We are using balled shaped things to try and mimic the grape shape without going all out grapes. Our cake will be a tier of "cake balls" , and we are going to use some oversized balloon for some fun at the cake table. Our centerpieces are goblet style wine glasses filled with red water beads, with a rose candle placed on top- I tried this out the other day and really liked it! I'll try to get pics up soon to get some feedback from everyone.

What a fun board! I'm so glad to have a community of people who are getting married at vineyards- it's not a common wedding venue amongst my group of acquaintances, so it's nice to be a part of this community. :)
