Bham/ 280 Rehearsal Dinner Help!

Our wedding will be about 25min from 280/459 in Bham on a family farm. We need to have the  rehearsal on location even though it will only take about 15min. I do not want to have family cook and serve dinner there.... is it ok to have everyone drive back out towards Bham for the dinner? Any suggestions for a place on/near 280?

    For the rehearsal, there shouldn't be very many people anyway, so you really could just carpool if it's an issue.

    One of my friends had a small RD at Village Tavern at the Summit. It was kinda pricey, but it was GOOD

    I used to work at Cafe Dupont (downtown Bham) and they would travel to locations, set up, serve, everything. Just a thought if you'd like to have your reception at your family's farm. I'm sure there are several other restaurants that will come cater as well,  but Cafe Dupont is the only one I know of for sure.
