Yes! We need more people like that to come back and entertain us.

• Kirkland has a line that's apparently very very similar to, but much cheaper than, Lululemon stuff.  H&F raves about it.

The savings on ground turkey and greek yogurt alone are worth it for me.  Most produce tends to be cheaper than my regular grocery store also.  Organic, low sodium chicken broth is another good buy.

There's a lot of processed non-food crap, but you can get decent, real food.

• The Costco brand (Kirkland) of dog food is around $28 for a 40 pound bag and that is one of the cheapest prices I've found.  Its cheaper than even IAMS or Pedigree and it's a much higher quality so that is the main reason I shop at Costco.

They also have really good prices bread, meats, and fish so we'll buy in bulk on those items and freeze what we don't use right away.

• Our photographers suggested that if we choose to print the photos from the cd they gave us, then we should print them at Costco (as opposed to WalMart, et al) since they have the best resolution. So that's an added bonus to our membership, too. We just need to decide which photos we want to print and either put them in the album or frame them.
Hell, I'd do it just for the gas discount. <strong> 4 dollar gas is coming this summer, ladies</strong>. And also things that always seem to cost me more money?  That monthly or whatever trip to Target that always costs a crapload of money... I'd like to save on things like deoderant or razors or toilet paper, cleaning supplies etc.

also their photobooks are really reasonable.

I am such a costco fanboy. I can't help it.

• Yes. The churros. And the pizza. Who could forget those?
• I love Costco I use it all the time. We buy meats, well everything, in bulk and spearate them. I buy 4 packages of frozen ground turkey for $15 and keep 1 in the fridge and freeze the three others.

Flank steak cut into meal portions and freeze
Foster Farms Chicken comes prepackaged into servings and so I leave 1 or 2 things of chicken in the fridge and freeze the others.

Dry goods I just buy what I use alot like flour, baking powder, rice, cereal, chips and snacks and organize them at home. I alternate what I am shopping for so I don't have mass overload of food in the house at any one time.

I get most of my produce from the Korean Market since it is super cheap but mushrooms and cucumbers and bell peppers I get from costco.

They have pharmacy, shampoo, movies, games, gifts, gift cards, tvs and housegoods in addition to food.
Idk I love it and I go weekly... so there is that.

• Oh, and we bought a pack of dove soap in summer of 2010 and are just finishing our last bar from the pack and we shower a lot. For like 15$
• Rosie do you shop at one in MD and if so do they have booze? That could be a deciding factor for me.

• Costco pie!! I remember that!

Koda, that's ridiculous.  I would have raised all sorts of hell. I hate when cashiers/managers get nasty, only to find out it's their mistake in the first place. I bring those bitches down.
• my fiance and I are HUGE costco fans. and definitely go for the executive membership. while the regular one is $55/yr and the executive is $110, with the executive membership you get 2% back on all your purchases and if you do not get at least $55 back (to make up the difference between the two memberships) costco will write you a check. they also offer an extended membership on ALL items, if you ever buy a piece of furniture/electronic/etc and something goes wrong with it over 2years, they will let you return it for a FULL refund. they also offer ALL high quality items at the often cheaper prices then generic would be at other stores. for example, we are able to by bigger turkey burgers with more quantity at a cheaper price then we could at giant/walmart/bj's. all of their produce/meats/seafood/etc are EXTREMELY fresh. as for the large quantity, we also only shop for 2 people and NEVER feel like we have too much or waste food. we actually go there like every 2 weeks. and just another fyi they also have fantastic jewelry selection, while jewelry from costco may not sound glamorous, they surprisingly have the same diamond standards as tiffany's (I color,vs2,etc) so if you are still shopping for your wedding band, or even good anniversary gifts ;-) they are a great place to try.
Also Koda (or anyone else), does that mean you have to have the same last name to have more than two people on an account? And why delete you if you were the original primary? That whole situation makes no sense.
Posted by edielaura
No, you don't have to have the same last name. Costco just made a BIG mistake while adjusting Koda's account.
• Oh yeah and their fruit is amazing!  In the summer, I've switched to buying all my strawberries at costco because they are always delicious.  I would highly recommend getting your fruits and veggies at costco whenever possible.

• I'm not sure what's all been covered, but will it have a gas station? Gas at our Costco is regularly about 20-30 cents less PER GALLON than the other gas stations within a 5 mile radius.  That alone has made it worth it.  We also buy our dog treats from there, laundry detergent, Lactaid milk ($3/gallon instead of $4-5 for a half gallon at Target.)

We also buy all of our meat from there- frozen chicken, ground beef, bacon- and our fruit (so good. and I swear it lasts a week longer.)

Lastly... tampons/vitamins/etc are WAY cheaper.  I also just got 2 boxes of my contacts for $80 (they're $140 on discount from my school.)
• Costco is the bomb.  The gas savings are great.  We buy dog food, paper products, cleaning supplies, coffee, some frozen stuff, canned goods, tampons, health & beauty items.  On their website you can also get discounts to theme parks, and restaurant giftcards.  Their meat is very good, and the deli section is awesome (stuff like take & bake chicken pot pie, chicken salad, take & bake pizza, sandwich wraps).

Last summer they had some workout clothing that was made by LuluLemon but sold under the Costco brand.  $40 LLL tank top was $14.

I wait for the coupons to come out and save even more - usually $20 - $30 in coupons on a $150 - $200 order.

Oh, and lunch on Saturday.  I've seriously had an entire meal of samples while walking around.

• I love Costco. I love Target too though and also have a target card (love the 5% off every shopping trip). I go to Target for my weekly shopping trips, and we go to Costco about once a month, but we usually load up when we are there. I agree with the other ladies that the gas prices alone are worth the $50/year membership. When gas prices start to get a little crazy though, sometimes you have to wait in line at mine for like 20 minutes for gas.

Things we usually buy from Costco:
-toilet paper and paper towel
-meats (we have a food saver and freeze most of it)
-bottled water and soda
-laundry detergent
-veggies
-snacks
-odds and ends

We always end up with a bunch of crap that we didnt have on our list though. Their prices on DVDs, CDs, books, and magazines are way less then Target. This past year for Christmas, I got a lot of tissue paper and gift boxes there too for super cheap.
