Stuck on invite wording;[

Is anyone else having this dilemma?

We are having an outdoorsey wedding in the Adirondacks and I want the invite wording to be informal and creative.

Im having trouble balancing the two. I suppose we would want to include both sets of parents, but reflect the laidback outdoorsey feel of the wedding...
I was also thinking about using lyrics from the song we are walking down the isle to (Plain White T's- 1,2,3,4)

Does anyone have any advice on this topic?! Its driving me crazzzy.

instead of Mr. & Mrs and Mr. & Mrs ???

It seems to me like writing out the whole names of both families is more formal. Agree with Monica's "together with their families".

There's a lot of cool options if you don't mention either set of parents. Is that an option. If not, how about this?

(bride)
and
(groom)
together with our parents
invite you to share
the beginning of our new life
together
when we exchange marriage vows
on (date)
at (time)
(location)
(city, state)

When wording ours my mother wanted both sets of parents and all four names listed (no clue why) it was wordy but we did Mr Jack Smith and Mrs. Jill Smith. (dont forget you are never to separate the mans name from mr or his last name) But that was way to wordy so we dropped the mr. & mrs.

Thats what mine says! Thank you very much Davids Bridal website :) We had to change our wording all around though b/c mom insisted they be on it (as my parents are paying) and I insisted FIs parents not be on it (they each gave a small amount but theyre divorced and remarried and thats just a circus of an invite).

What did you end up going with? I'm not into the formal honour (what are we British?) and prescence and stuff.

Right now I have:
(Parents' names) invite you to celebrate the marriage between their daughter ....

Boring, but it works.
