http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-501363_162-57365294/okla-senator-wants-ban-on-human-fetuses-in-food/I love this part - "In an e-mail to The Associated Press, U.S. Food and Drug Administration spokeswoman Pat El-Hinnawy said: 'FDA is not aware of this particular concern.'" And then later - "I'd hate to think we're going to spend our time coming up with possibilities of things we need to stop."
Re: Senator wants to ban fetuses in your food
DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!
This is such a waste of time and resources.

ETA: Neither I want in my food. From what they were saying about the other bills he tried to pass, he seems a little crazy pants.
I mean, to even imagine that this would be a possibility only proves that you are either monstrously bored, or completely unhinged. Or perhaps both.
You have a better chance of the fat sucked out from someone elses lipo ending up in your lips that a dead fetus in your food.

[QUOTE]I'm confused. Was he talking about embryonic stem cells or actual aborted babies? Because those are different IMO. ETA: Neither I want in my food. From what they were saying about the other bills he tried to pass, he seems a little crazy pants.

[QUOTE]Yeah, I mean I know stem cell research is wanted for a lot of things, but food? Come on. I did find a needle a few weeks ago in my packaged cheese. :( But I guess that's better than a severed arm.

Holy crap. That's scary! Did you call the company and complain? The worst I've ever encountered is a used bandaid in my rice from a chinese restaurant in Indy. Never ordered from them again.

No. I honestly wasn't sure what good it would do. It was the kind of cheese that comes in a shrink-wrapped wrapper, so it must have happened at the factory. I couldn't see it was there until I wrapped it and saw it sticking out a little bit. It was one of those pin needles that you use to pin stuff together when you're sewing.
