Re: Happy Hump Day!

  • Ah ha!  Here it is.

You can't really tell there is a bow on the front because it's all the same fabric.  Next one I'm making the bow a different color!

  • Sooooo.... my co worker is in her office, music blaring, and she's singing at the top of her lungs. It's pretty hilarious. I wish I could record it for you all to hear lol! It's soooo loudddd
  • Divine - Try butcher bones - we get the ones that are already smoked, but they're really good for the dogs - our GSD loves the knuckles, she tires of the long bones - but the knuckles are harder more angled to chew on if that makes sense. The marrow inside is really good for them as well. She gets a new one every so often, no more than 1x a month. She also as a Kong and loves it and we get her ropes/stuffed toys from the $1 store because she ripes them to shreds any ways.

We are going on a 7 day cruise to Nassau, St Martin, and St Thomas. Pretty freakin stoked!!

  • I really want to caution dog owners about giving your dog real bones. I only suggest giving them RAW beef/pork bones..... (get them from the butcher)

Any sort of Smoked/Cooked/Bleached bones can splinter when aggressive chewers are chewing on them..Then the dog ingests the splinters... which if they puncture any part of the dog's intestions can be extremely dangerious. Also, Chicken bones, well the splinter (I think most people know that) so you should NEVER feed cooked/raw chicken bones.

  • We've never given chicken bones - but we were also told specifically by our vets office that the smoked butcher bones (from a cow) we're perfectly fine to give.

  • Last year Fis dog got really sick, and the vet blamed the bones they had gotten from petsmart. Here is an article about it.... http://www.dogster.com/dog-food/cooked-bones-for-dogs
