Unsure- Should We Get A Hotel Room If We Have A Baby?

My FI and I will be getting married in April in my hometown. We will be leaving for a cruise in Mexico the next morning. We've been trying to decide on whether or not to get a hotel room for our wedding night. Here's the thing- I'm 8 months pregnant and our daughter will be 4 months old for our wedding.

We're on the fence about whether or not to get a hotel room. We will be gone for 5 days and we will not be taking our daughter with us. She'll be spending the time at my parent's house, with my parents, sister, and niece. Do we take her home with us after the wedding and stay at our house, and drop her off with her grandparents the next day before heading into New Orleans? Or do we leave the wedding without her and spend the night at a hotel?

    I say once you leave the wedding, the honeymoon (without baby) begins.  But you should do whatever you feel best about and not a big deal no matter what you decide.

    Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.

    I was in a similar situation. I had twins with my (now) husband 7 mos before the wedding. After the reception we had arranged for my mom to take the kids home with them so we could have our honeymoon. Sure, we missed them, but it was more important to us to have some time alone to celebrate our marriage. We felt like if the kids were with us, it really wouldn't be that much different than every other night, ya know?

    We had our parents take our kiddo (17 months at the time) with them the night of the wedding. Everything was fine, but do what ever you are comfortable with.
