My former MIL "told" us we received a wedding invitiation. We were supposed to go with former MIL to the wedding. XH barely knew the bride. Former MIL decided not to go that day. We went to the wedding and knew absolutely no one. Turns out bride got into a HUGE fight with her stepmom (friends with former MIL) and they both "decided" not to go. We didn't know this bit of info until later. We went to the reception only to discover that we didn't have placecards.... because we were NEVER invited. I was mortified. We left immediately (still during cocktail hour).

Re: I once went to a wedding that I wasn't invited to... so embarassing
One time I poured some cereal because I thought I had milk, but I didn't have any milk at all. I had to pour the cereal back in the box. .
It's good you got out when you did.
Sounds like something out of a weird dream.

<div>At least you didn't pour orange juice into your cereal instead of milk.</div>

Done it. Except instead of OJ, it was berry flavored soy milk. While delicious in smoothies, not so great on frosted mini wheats.

<div>I've done it with grape juice. This discussion made me want chocolate milk, but our brand new milk smells bad. :(</div>

Trumped. That's way worse than being out of milk.

I didn't realize it until afterward when I thought "Why didn't the main course come...and why did he not try any of the green stuff?? Oh."
