Bridal shower thank you gifts

My FMIL and FSIL are hosting a bridal shower for me this weekend. Does anyone have a good idea for thank you gifts for them? I would like to keep the cost of each under $30. I thought about getting bath & body works type things, but FMIL is 71 and not sure that she would want or use that type of thing. Thanks!

  • I gave orchids and they went over really well.  I was also on a budget since I had the 5 aunts hosting.. and 5 gifts add up quickly.

I also included a nice message with the card and a bottle of wine.  I spent almost the same on the wine as I did the orchids.. but the orchids were such a hit.. I really should have saved my money and not bought the wine!
  • I love the orchid idea! But my FMIL just randomly gave me an orchid 2-3 weeks ago, she might think I was regifting...haha.  Umm your puppy pictures are adorable too! Is the one on the left a king charles or cocker spaniel? It looks so similar to my cocker. :)

  • My bridal party is doing the shower and I've bought them jewelry as an overall thank you.  Do I need to do something seperate for the shower?  The shower is 4 weeks prior to the wedding.
  • I've always heard it was a nice thing to do, not necessary.
  • Not even necessary. My sister didn't send thank you gifts when she got married and I didn't miss them. A thank you note would be fine.
But for a good present for the ladies, you can't go wrong with a really nice purse!
  • I gave my shower hostesses bubble bath, a candle and godiva chocolates.  I fugured they could use some relaxing after all of their hard work :)
  • I'm a big fan of the Edible Arrangment as a thank you gift.  They're really beautiful and the fruit is always fresh and delicious.  Wine is a close second.
