  I got my dress at The Ultimate Bride. I tried on like 5 different dresses before i found my dress. I knew it was my dress because it made me feel special. The other dresses were cute but the one i picked made me feel like a princess lol.

  The tried on about 5 dresses.  I did not instantly love the dress I ended up getting, but something about it peeked by interest.  I put it back on three times, the more I wore it, the more I loved it and I know it is my dress!  So, you don't have to fall instantly in love or make a decision right away.  Wait til you know!

  Thank you.  I tried on about 10 different dresses so far.  I think I at least know what style I want. This is just so not like me, to be so indecisive. Especially about clothes. I think part of it is my weight loss, I have lost 70lbs so far.  So just seeing me this size is weird in it self.  My goal is another 30 for the wedding. And then another 50 after the wedding. Cause I am making a life change. We will see how is goes next week. Thank you!

  I saw a thing on Say Yes to the Dress one day, they had a girl that had recently lost a lot of weight. It was hard for her to pick a dress as well. She was a small adorable girl while she was trying on dresses, but she kept seeing herself differently than everyone else it seemed.  Randy took her aside and told her that she was going to struggle as long as she wasn't comfortable in her own skin, because she wouldn't be comfortable in any dress.  So, just remember you are beautiful just the way you are today!  Try to look in the mirror and really see the reflection, not what your mind might be telling you.  And take someone you trust, when they say you are beautiful, believe them!!!!

  Yes, I saw that episode as well.  I actually am having the opposite problem.  I am so happy to see my waist be this small, that I cant figure out what I truly love because I have so many options and I am so happy with the progress I have made.  I am not used to being able to go to stores and just get whatever I like because I fit in the sizes that are there.  I used to have to shop for size, now its style. Hopefully I will get a clear direction this weekend.  Just wish the store had a website so I can pre shop the designers!

  Best of luck to you!  It is hard because even looking at styles you don't know what you will like on you.  Just don't rush and something will stick out as a favorite!

  Dress shopping can be a pain.  While I can't give specifics was to where to go in the St. Louis area, I can tell you that I had a few false positives before I really found the right one.
  
  First of all, know roughtly the silouette you want and details you would like.  Also keep a price range in mind.
  
  Once you know that, you need to shop the market.  I went to every reputable bridal salon in my area of Los Angeles because I wanted to see what the price range for the type of dress I wanted was.  I found two dresses that could have been the "right one."  One was in my price range but the pick ups on either side of the gown were annoying so I wanted the one they ordered for me to have box pleats--they said they could do that but it would cost more, so that left me on the fence.  The second dress I thought was the one again, was an awesome dress that seemed perfect in every way except for the price tag--so I kept looking.  It's not just about finding any dress that looks gorgeous on you, but the one dress that brings out the vision you want for yourself as a bride(budget included also)--the one dress that makes you look your best.
  
  When I finally found the right one, I couldn't take my eyes off of it(it made me glad I didn't give into temptation and slept on it the others).  Even when I was trying on something else that was more elaborate and more expensive, my eyes kept drifting back to where it was hanging.
  
  A good rule of thumb is not to try on more than 7 dresses at one time.  After awhile they will all start to blur together and all look the same.  Once you have found the right one, you won't want to look at any other dress--except just to gleefully tell yourself that the one you got is so much better than any other
  
  I hope that helps.  I'm still dealing with the aftermath of moving after my wedding and thank you notes and getting the house ready for moving.  So some of the stujff on my  bio will not be current.
