Photo Favors?

  Hmm... I've never heard of that before.  What would single guests do -- would they have pictures taken by themselves?  And how fast does the line move?

  yes, single guests get their own picture or can take a picture with friends and/or family. from what i hear, the line moves quickly. i am hoping that is true...
  
  i think it's a pretty cool idea- different from the normal favors...if that doesn't work out i also like the idea of an edible favor. maybe a "p" cookie since our last name begins with a "p."

  I don't know, it seems kind of awkward to me, like something you do on cruise ships before going to dinner.  Just my opinion of course.

  I think it is a really nice idea but the logistics seem to be the big question. I wouldn't want to stand in line at the end of the party to just have my picture taken for a favor. Could you make it optional just in case it doesn't go as smoothly as possible? Where cookies, like the ones you mentioned, be prepackaged for guests to take instead of having the picture favor.

  from what i gather there are a few way of doing it...
  1- take the pictures as people arrive to cocktail hour
  2- take pictures during cocktail hour
  3- set up a station and ask guests to go there to have their picture taken

  That's exactly how they do it! My venue actually recommended it and gave me a name of someone who has done it there a few different times. They say it works out great & guests love it! It is actually my back up idea if the photobooth doesn't fit our budget....

  I think he quoted me a lil less than $600 incl tax & everything for approximately 120 guests whether it was a couple, single or group shots he didn't limit it....

  I went a wedding years ago that did photo key chains.  While I don't recommend doing a key chain (it was cool for me because it was around the time I got my car, but most adults just threw it out or didn't do it)  I think its  a cute idea.  They did it during the reception and people could go up throughout the night and get their picture taken. It didn't take long at all and never really formed a large line.

  I had my photog take "couple pics" and then in their thank you card I sent them a copy. But I did regular favors.  Im not sure how receptive everyone would be for that, but its worth a try.

  I agree with kristen8040 it seems like something you do on a cruise and I personally hated being disturbed during the cruise to do it.  I would fell forced to do it at a wedding, just like when the videographer used to go around and ask you to send a personal message to the new Mr. and Mrs it was awkward. I would agree with Reilly626 and just have your photographer take them and just send them out afterwards. The concept is great, I would just rather a photo booth (which i am doing) if i were a guest.
