Hi!
I am considering a photo favor for my wedding. I want a photographer to come during cocktail hour and take guests pictures as they arrive. The photo will then be presented to them as they leave. I like the idea of everyone getting a professional picture of themselves because often times they get all dressed up and don't take their own picture! Does anybody have any recommendations of vendors? I am considering "Photo Favors" in Edison.
THANKS!
Re: Photo Favors?
i think it's a pretty cool idea- different from the normal favors...if that doesn't work out i also like the idea of an edible favor. maybe a "p" cookie since our last name begins with a "p."
from what i gather there are a few way of doing it...
1- take the pictures as people arrive to cocktail hour
2- take pictures during cocktail hour
3- set up a station and ask guests to go there to have their picture taken

I think he quoted me a lil less than $600 incl tax & everything for approximately 120 guests whether it was a couple, single or group shots he didn't limit it....

<div>I'm not sure how receptive people would be to that. I agree that it is kind of like a cruise (or prom pictures) and I would think that a lot of people wouldn't bother getting in line during cocktail hour or later. And it seems awfully expensive for what it is -- if you have 120 guests and it is $600, that is $5 per person, which isn't bad. But what if 1/3 of the guests never bother going up, and lots of couple only get one picture taken? Then you're paying more like $10 per picture. And I would guess that the people who take these pictures aren't all that great (because if they were, they'd be doing better photography work), so you may not get anything that great.</div><div>
</div><div>It is a really thoughtful idea, but I don't know how great it would be in execution. I think people would be way more receptive to a photo booth because then you can goof around (and the resulting photos are more fun so they're more easily thrown on a fridge or whatever even if they aren't the greatest photos ever.</div>
