For a chair or couch? No : ( I wish! I just got rid of a chair bc I didn't take the time out in the last year how to cover it.

It's "supposedly" easy when you watch them do it on HGTV though... I've never tried too hard.

I also don't own a sewing machine yet... so I sew by hand. Another hindrance. ; )

(I DO have a whole box of quilt squares ready to go when I get my machine though!!)

Watching my mom make slip covers makes it seem easy, but she's been sewing for almost 50 years so that might have something to do with it.

Okay. I haven't either. I think that if we didn't have everything else going on right now, I would be more optimistic about attempting it.

I really want a glider for the nursery. Craigslist has one that is in decent shape, but is the wrong color. DH says that he would rather just buy me the one I want and that I shouldn't take on any more projects. However, I do not want to pay full price. (Shocking, I know.)

I've made a slip cover, it's easy, yet hard. Make one of muslin first to get the hang of it, and then use the actual fabric. There is no such thing as too many pins

Cate- They will move things, including cars. I will start collecting boxes from work though

Kat- I've never even been to this area, hence the freaking out.

Mutley-- I love those gliders. I want one now.

The area around Annapolis is FABULOUS. Seriously. Plus it is great to have DC nearby. I definitely took it for granted growing up there.

Those gliders are too amazing. We are definitely getting an ottoman as well. I want one that will last through 4 kids and then, we can put it in the living room. I have zero plans of ever getting rid of it. (Hence, why DH thinks we should just buy new.)

Wow, they're paying to move you? Awesome! It will make it a lot easier than trying to do it all yourself, not to mention ridiculously cheaper. See? Nothing to worry about!

Dunno if this is how you are, but I found it hard to pack at first because I'd go, "But I might need this next week, so I'll wait!" and ended up leaving nearly everything to the last minute. I learned with my 13 moves in the last 6 years (not exaggerating) that for me, I have to live out of a suitcase and eat with paper plates and cups and plastic silverware for the last two weeks. It just makes it easier to pack everything else around me.

I'm glad I'm done moving myself for awhile - next move will be after BF graduates, after we get married, when he gets his orders to report for The Basic School probably late 2012, early 2013. Military will pay for everything - thank goodness!

I've got an ottoman... but my living room is definitely not fancy. It's all hand-me-down furniture with nice slip covers. The slip cover on the ottoman is all soft and fluffy blue, so comfy!

Sadly, the bathtub has made its way to the bathroom. Although, I will say that the living room looks pretty darn fancy smancy with its new flooring. Paige- My ottoman has wheels, which is why it's an ottoman and not a foot stool. But the couch and chair etc etc are all hand me downs and are probably not coming with. Not that we have a place to live, or a salary, or any details really. Someone want to stalk MLS for me?
