Hump Day!

24

Re: Hump Day!

  • LTB, I bring salads to work and they are usually lower in carbs.

Dumdum, if you go to the goals page at the bottom there is a button to change your goals and you can do it there.

I probably should look for a hat, huh?  Maybe I'll just wear a sombrero.  Double purpose.

  • Thanks Bay! I know it'll be different, so therefore both exhilarting and scary but damn am I ready to be able to make my own decisions with FH and not have my mom breathing down my neck.

I know she doesn't realize just how quickly I plan on moving a bunch of my stuff over because she took it upon herself to give the boxes away that FI is using to move this weekend to someone else. Without asking. Thank goodness my old CWs from HD will save boxes for me.
  • Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANNA!

  • Sheesh, Midge.  Your mom sounds a lot like mine.  My little sister is finally at the point where she can financially look into moving out on her own (at almost 27) and my mom still won't let her go.

    Happy Birthday, AnnaPenny!

  • Good morning.  I must have slept funny because my neck is tight now and it's driving me nuts.

Yesterday I had to have a plumber come because we had a leak in our upstairs bathroom which I figured out from a water stain on the ceiling.  So it got fixed and then I had to deal with the stain.  I was all set to go get paint and just do that, but did some googling first and read to try a bleach water combo in a spray bottle.  Holy eff I sprayed that on and the water stain literally came right off without any scrubbing or anything!  I was basically jumping for joy that I didn't have to paint!!

Sesh- my childhood dentist royally screwed up my teeth too and I have tons of issues with old fillings having decay behind them now.  It's a mess and costing me a ton out of pocket still to get them slowly replaced.

  • Adamar, I have fat set to like 50%, Protein to about 30% and carbs to 20%. Or something in that general area. I think it works out to 68ish grams of carbs, and 84ish each of fat and protein.

I have completely abandoned MFP lately though. Maybe I need to get back into it.

[QUOTE]Things are normal here. I got my "Save-the-Date" for my ten-year high school reunion yesterday. I'm actually really excited about it.<strong> I was the epitome of loser in high school, so I can't wait to go back and show off my new self and hot husband. Not such a loser now!</strong>

</div><div>I was pretty much a hot mess in high school.  When I went back to my 10 year reunion one of the "popular" guys told me later in the evening they'd decided I was "most improved".  I was a little tipsy by that point so I decided to go with compliment rather than insult. LOL</div><div>
    </div><div>And good morning.</div><div>
</div><div>Today I'm going to go drop my car off at the dealership to get my brakes changed and the rear door locks fixed.  They said they had a shuttle that could bring me back to my hotel, so I'll probably hang out here stranded until my car is ready.  Fun fun :).  At some point today I should find out if we are accepted for this apartment (I don't expect a problem) and confirm that I can move in Sunday.  Woohoo!</div><div>

    </div>
  • I haven't been on MFP in ages.  I was doing pretty well without it.  I need to get back to the working out business as soon as I get settled.  I MAY take my dog for a walk this morning while I'm stranded with no car.

Loopy, that is so exciting about the apartment! I hope your car doesn't take too long.

Fezz, I'm so excited for you and the little one!

    Happy happy birthday Rupen! :)
  • Eeeeeeeeee, Holly!  So close!

I can't wait to see your wedding pictures.

  • Morning everyone! It is so icky outside today- the darkness and chilly air (after such gorgeous warmth the past few days) is making it hard for me to get out of a funk I'm in. I'm in the midst of a major job search because my student loan company decided I am no longer eligible for a modified payment plan, so I no longer make enough money to pay my half of the rent, regular bills and the loan.  It is really stressing me out, especially since I will probably have to dip into our wedding savings- FI tells me its fine but it is hard to feel good about it when we have about half of our budget in there now.

But at least I have something to look forward to- I get to meet my friend's newly adopted daughter! I've been addicted to the youtube videos she uploads, and I cant wait to give her the tiny yellow tutu we bought her!

  • LTB - I would often  grill up a bnch of marinated chicken and put chicken and some frozen veggies in a container with a little rice or potato or something and microwave for lunch.  It was like make my own TV dinner LOL.  I have a few small rectangular glass pyrex dishes with lids that I use to pack up leftovers and stuff into lunch portions.  I've also done mish-mash stuff with fruit, veggies (with dip or peanut butter), crackers and cheese.  It's rough cause so much microwave-able stuff is carb-centric.  I almost always take my breakfast to work and eat it throughout the morning.  It usually consists of a granola bar, an apple or a banana, and a greek yogurt.
  • Holly, I can't believe you are at single digits. No idea what my reaction will be when I see that.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Hump Day! : YES. But I don't get to live there until after the HM. My stuff will start to move this week or next though. It's going to be wonderful.

That's exciting! I won't be living with FI until we get married and it will be my first time being on my own, i'm really excited but kind of nervous!

  • Button, I have no idea what you do or what you want to do, but most offices on the hill participate in loan repayment programs. Just FYI.

  • Oh I have my final fitting today, well hopefully it will be the final fiitting! I cannot wait to see how it looks now that it will fit properly! I am so tired I was up late doing my Thank You notes, so glad I got them out of the way so far, I am sure I will have more after the wedding.

We are moving my cat Sweetie into FI's house this weekend! I hope it goes smoothly!

</div><div>This is exactly what happened to me. It's terrible and I'm pretty much just screwed. It gave me an irrational fear of the dentist. I'm slowly fixing the problems too. It's so expensive but we have new dental insurance now. </div><div>
</div><div>I think I finally found a good dentist. I'm actually getting an extraction Monday and I'm really scared. I might cry, ha. :| Has anyone ever had one? </div><div>
</div><div>Oh and good morning, everyone! Holly, I can't believe you are getting married this week. I'm so excited for you.

  • Holly, I will gladly take all of the rain down here so I don't have to go out on the boat with all of H's coworkers.  I'm really not looking forward to that.

  • Oh no Holly! FWIW, it stormed on the morning of my parent's wedding but it turned into an absolutely gorgeous day well before the ceremony started and stayed that way the rest of the day. Your wedding day will be gorgeous no matter what. I'm so excited for you!
  • Happy birthday Rupen!

Holly I can't believe you're almost there, I can't wait to see pictures!

Thanks Meg :)  And you're going to be just as excited as I am for single digits dammit!
  • Holly, there was supposed to be a hurricane at my wedding, but it diverted. I hope the storms get out of the way for you too.

  • Oh no Holly! We are having an outdoor wedding so that's my biggest fear!

  • Holly -- the whole week of our wedding, it was supposed to rain.  It rained all morning, and as soon as I was finished getting my hair and makeup done, the sun came out and the rest of the day was glorious.  You never can tell until the day of.
