He proved out 2 more homesteads in different states after they married, and then moved on to Colorado. Family story has it that at that point she'd had enough, and put her foot down when he wanted to leave CO-they had 6 kids by then. I can't fathom it at all. Wally-thanks.

Is her bio mother around at all? If I'm prying, feel free to tell me to back off. I'm just curious, it sounds like you're really close with her, which is great.

Hey all. I see we're talking about big families? I want like 6 kids. My dad's one of 9, and I'm one of 4. Basically, I want as many kids as financially feasable. xH apparently didn't want any, which magically came out AFTER we got married and moved across the country. Now, his new whorewife is knocked up. Lovely.

    ^Cool story, bro.

Angel, sorry about your night :(

  • It always blows my mind when things like that come out after marriage. I think a few people around these parts got married and then their Hs were like, "Yeah, I don't think I want kids." Luckily, it wasn't a deal breaker for them, but it would be for me.

<div>Didja hear about the one where the H didn't tell his wife he'd gotten a vasectomy before they'd even met? And how he agreed to try for kids and figured if they didn't conceive she'd just give up? That was crazy pants. </div>

Would you (general you) marry a guy who cheated on his wife with you? It completely boggles my mind, and I could never imagine doing that.

    <div>Hey, if the shoe fits.</div><div>
</div><div>I'd be so enraged. I saw my ex-h kiss this gal in her car outside our apartment. But he denied it. And I was an idiot. That was  a lifetime ago. (Not that I'm not still an idiot sometimes, but at least not about THAT!)</div>

  • Wally, I've heard that. I totally believe it. Honestly (and I know this makes me sound like a biiitch), I hope he does it to her too.
    image
  • I don't think I'd marry someone who had cheated on his wife with me. It's one thing to cheat when you're kids and you're just dating. Not that it's okay, but it's forgivable... but when grown adults cheat, that either means a) the relationship is really unhappy or b) there's something about that person that they aren't able to stay faithful. And that's not a gamble I'd be willing to take.

  • I agree with you Angel.

For me, being cheated on once, I could never ever forgive him, no matter what he was willing to do. I was out of there like 9 days after everything went down. We had a ton of wedding gifts in storage that we hadn't used, I returned them all for store credit and bought myself nice new stuff when I got home :)
