Need some advice...(or just to vent :)

So, I found a designer on Etsy to make custom designed invitations in PDF format for me so we can DIY them. We messaged back and fourth and she was pretty responsive and everything sounded good so I purchased the listing. That was last Wednesay, March 28th. I emailed her all the information she asks for and attached some samples. Well a week went by and I hadn't heard from her so on Tuesday April 3rd I sent her a message via Etsy just to make sure she got my email and it didn't go to spam. She said she did and was sorry she hadn't responded and would have something for us the next day (Wednesday) to review. Well here we are on Saturday and I still haven't heard from her. I even sent her another message yesterday asking if she would just send it to my email address and notta.

I know it's the holiday weekend but I am getting a little anxious. I know it probably takes some time to design invites which I would be fine with if she just told me it would take longer than she thought. I am so frustrated!! Should I just calm down and stop being a bridezilla and wait? Should I contact her again? I am not sure what to do....

  • I would wait out the holiday weekend, just because its the holiday weekend, then Monday or Tuesday (personally I'd wait till Tuesday.... once again, just because its a holiday) I would send an invite advising I needed to either get the invitations or I would be filing a 'non delivery report' with Etsy at a given time the next day, giving her 24hrs to comply. At that point, Etsy is pretty easy as far as filing a report and having it taken care of. I had to do this once with a seller.
  • I didn't even know you could do that, thanks for the advice! I will wait until Tuesday... trying to be patient but I am not at all!!!

  • Honestly I would cut her some slack. Give her a couple of more days and if by Wendnesday she still hasn't gotten back to you then proceed with filing a claim. Also you might want to let her know that her inability to stick to a deadline is going to harm her ratings, that might get you your designs quicker.
