Just got a call from my mom that he's in the hospital - based on his symptoms, my mom thinks it's appendicitis, but they're doing cat scans and xrays to find out more.

Fortunately, he's at the hospital where she works, so we should be able to get info about what's going on quickly.

I got to talk to him for a bit before he went in to the scan - I had my appendix out when I was 12, so we compared symptoms, and I feel pretty certain that's what he's experiencing also. I feel much better after having talked to him. Just waiting to hear back from my mom for certain, and then find out what time he'd be going in to surgery.
